  • Patent number: 8611064
Abstract: A magnetization apparatus includes a power supply unit, an energy storage element and a voltage clamp unit. The power supply unit generates at least one exciting signal to excite at least a coil of a magnetic field generating apparatus. The voltage clamp unit has a clamping voltage. The voltage level of the clamp voltage is higher than the voltage level of the exciting signal, and lower than the rated voltage of the energy storage element. When the exciting signal turns to a low voltage level, the voltage clamp unit controls the voltage level of the energy storage element to be less than or equal to the voltage level of the clamp voltage. This configuration with the voltage clamp unit can extend the lifetime of the energy storage element and reduce the energy loss to enhance the efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8474174
Abstract: An improved baited lure has a head section and a tail section so that when press fitted together an interior chamber with scent holes is formed for containing bait or scent and/or a rattle. A fish hook is attached to a leader that runs through holes in the head and tail sections so that, as the lure is moved through water, the two sections are held together. One section may have an air pocket for buoyancy when at rest, and a tether may be connected between the two sections so that, in the event the leader is broken, the lure rises to the surface of the water and, even if separated, both sections are retrievable.

  • Patent number: 8257973
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for co-culture of stem cells using feeder cells, more particularly to a method for culturing stem cells by using a membrane having a number of pores to separate stem cells and feeder cells. In the present invention, the culture condition of stem cells optimized is provided, in which stem cells and feeder cells are cultivated independently in separate spaces while permeating essential substances selectively. The stem cells prepared in the present invention continue to remain indifferent and be supported by feeder cells until needing being sub-cultured. In addition, the stem cells even for therapeutic use can be obtained without any contaminant since not pretreated with a cytostatic agent such as mitomycin or irradiated. Therefore, the method for co-culturing stem cells by using a membrane of the present invention can be widely used for clinical applications.

  • Publication number: 20120103348
Abstract: A magnetic navigation control apparatus includes a sensing unit, a control unit and a magnetic field generating unit. The sensing unit generates a sensing signal according to the position of a magnetic element. The control unit is electrically connected with the sensing unit and generates a first control signal and a second control signal according to the sensing signal. The magnetic field generating unit is electrically connected with the control unit and has a housing, a plurality of interpoles, and a plurality of short poles. The interpoles are disposed in the housing. The short poles are disposed between the interpoles evenly. The magnetic field generating unit generates a navigation signal according to the first control signal, thereby controlling the magnetic element to move in at least one direction within a target region. The magnetic navigation control apparatus has greater magnetic navigation effects, and can thus reduce the cost.

  • Patent number: 7946005
Abstract: A safety hook includes a hook and a latch. The hook may be a twisted hook with a hooked portion twisted 90 degrees from a strap loop, or a flat ā€œSā€ hook with the hooked portion and the strap loop in a single plane. The latch includes a full circle latch ring and a latch arm. The latch arm extends across a mouth opening of the hooked portion and is biased to prevent the hooked portion from disengaging from a wheel chair or other attachment point without forcing the latch arm away from the mouth. The latch ring resides against a loop portion of the hook and is held in place by grasps, fingers, lips, or the like which reach past center around a cross-section of the loop portion, or by molding-in-place over the loop portion, and by a strap attached around strap loop and the latch ring.
