  • Publication number: 20190060306
Abstract: During clinical trials on patients suffering from neurological disorders, it has been observed that some patients obtain dramatic improvements in motor control and/or higher mental functioning, when they receive a combination of dextromethorphan and quinidine, at suitable dosages. Improved motor control has been exemplified to date by improved ability to swallow and/or speak, among victims of stroke, head injury, or ALS. Improved higher mental functioning has been exemplified better job performance, increased ability to analyze and solve problems, and increased ability to have successful and satisfying interactions with other people. These types of effects can be seen in a relatively brief time period, such as within several days to a week.

  • Patent number: 10205826
Abstract: Inbound call processing systems and methods for processing inbound calls to controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices employ an inbound resident call server configured to host inbound calling accounts established by non-residents, receive inbound calls from the non-residents, route the inbound calls to an authenticating server, confirm that the resident device is active, and connect the inbound resident call system with the resident device if active or inform the non-resident the resident is not available if not. The inbound resident call server also connects the non-resident inbound call with the resident device if the non-resident is associated with the inbound calling account, the inbound calling account is associated with an address identifier of the resident device and the resident's personal identification number is associated with the address identifier of the resident device, all of which may be authenticated by the authenticating server.

  • Patent number: 10198837
Abstract: A method of displaying a network graph with a computing system includes accessing data defining a network and including a plurality of vertices and a plurality of edges. If a number of vertices included in the network graph is below a first threshold, the network graph is locally rendering with a scalable vector graphics rendering engine of the computing system. If a number of vertices included in the network graph is between the first threshold and a second, higher, threshold, the network graph is locally rendered with a raster rendering engine of the computing system. If a number of vertices included in the network graph is above the second threshold, a remotely-rendered network graph rendered by a remote rendering engine is received at the computing system. The method further includes displaying the rendered network graph via a web browser of the computing system.

  • Patent number: 10177354
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an energy storage device having improved thermal performance. More specifically, the energy storage device includes a housing with side walls that define an internal volume. The side walls include bottom and front side walls, with the front side wall having an air inlet and outlet configured to circulate cooling air therethrough. The energy storage device also includes a plurality of cells arranged in a matrix within the internal volume atop the bottom side wall. Further, the cells define a top surface. Further, the energy storage device includes an exhaust manifold adjacent to the front side wall between at least a portion of the cells and the air inlet. Thus, the exhaust manifold is configured to direct airflow from the top surface towards the bottom side wall and then to the air outlet so as to provide an airflow barrier between cooling air entering the air inlet and the cells.
