  • Publication number: 20200085340
Abstract: A system is described herein that can be used to perform magneto-optical detection of a disease component in a test sample using magnetic nanoparticles. A concentration of magnetic nanoparticles and a concentration of bindable agents can be administered to the test sample. The magnetic nanoparticles can be configured to attach to the bindable agents. A light beam can be transmitted through the test sample to a light detector. A magnetic field gradient can be established through the test sample. If the transmitted light beam under the magnetic field gradient exhibits a variable intensity change during a time period, the disease component can be determined to exist in the test sample.

  • Patent number: 10580397
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for visualizing distractions are described. In one example, audio data is received from microphones in an open space. A human speech distractor presence is identified by one or more of: (a) detecting voice activity from the audio data, (b) receiving motion sensor data from motion sensors in the open space and detecting motion activity from the motion sensor data, or (c) receiving video sensor data from video sensors in the open space and detecting a human presence from the video data. A source location of the human speech distractor presence within the open space is identified utilizing one or more of the audio data, the motion sensor data, or the video data. A distraction index parameter is generated from the audio data. The distraction index parameter is visually indicated on an open space map at the source location of the human speech distractor presence.

  • Patent number: 10571142
Abstract: The INTERIOR USER-COMFORT ENERGY EFFICIENCY MODELING AND CONTROL SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES (“IUCEEMC”) transforms comfort maps and occupant comfort inputs via a profile library manager component, exploration manager component, comfort map manager component, regulation monitor component, control temperature sequence generator component, and comfort map modification component, into comfort map and control temperature sequence outputs. In some implementations, the IUCEEMC can divide a timespace of a temperature model into a plurality of sections, select a section from the plurality of sections, perform a first persistent change of the section from the plurality of sections, and, via a control temperature sequence generator, calculate a control temperature sequence using the temperature model. The IUCEEMC can develop and execute a temperature trajectory on an HVAC system, such as a home or industrial HVAC system.

  • Publication number: 20200037093
Abstract: A method of presenting a soundscape in an environment space using a plurality of controllable speakers arranged the space is provided. A spatial audio engine may access a spatial audio file defining a digital representation of the soundscape, including (a) a plurality of sound elements to be output in the space over time, (b) sound playback location information defining location(s) for each sound element to be output, and (c) timing information defining time(s) for each sound element to be output. The spatial audio engine may also access speaker location information for each speaker in the space. For each sound element to be played in the space over time, the spatial audio engine may correlate the sound playback location information with the speaker location information to identify one or more of the speakers to be controlled to output audio signals associated with the respective sound element.

  • Patent number: 10501100
Abstract: Systems for examining a route inject one or more electrical examination signals into a conductive route from onboard a vehicle system traveling along the route, detect one or more electrical characteristics of the route based on the one or more electrical examination signals, and detect a break in conductivity of the route responsive to the one or more electrical characteristics decreasing by more than a designated drop threshold for a time period within a designated drop time period. Feature vectors may be determined for the electrical characteristics and compared to one or more patterns in order to distinguish between breaks in the conductivity of the route and other causes for changes in the electrical characteristics.

  • Patent number: 10498488
Abstract: A frame error correction circuit may identify and correct errors in data frames provided to a receiver as part of a diversity communications scheme. The frame error correction circuit may further align the data frames so that the data frames can be compared. The frame error correction circuit may perform a bit-wise comparison of the data frames and identify inconsistent bit positions where bits in the data frames differ from one another. Once inconsistent bit positions have been identified, the frame error correction circuit may access a permutation table of permutations of bits at the inconsistent bit positions. In some implementations, the frame error correction circuit uses the permutation table to reassemble permutations of the data frames. In various implementations, the frame error correction circuit performs a CRC of each permutation of the data frames, and provides a valid permutation to a network.
