  • Publication number: 20230079758
Abstract: Multiple autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are operated by a host platform by configuring the AUVs with intermediate nodes (such as unmanned surface vehicles (USVs)) so as to allow the host platform to manage multiple AUVs. The intermediate nodes act as a relay for communications between the host platform and the AUVs allowing the host platform to scale to higher numbers of vehicles thus simultaneously operating the entire fleet of AUVs. The AUVs may provide underwater mapping data. The host platform may be stationary. The host platform may communicate with the intermediate nodes by satellite.

  • Publication number: 20230069190
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a crosspoint memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line is formed of a conductive material (e.g., tungsten). The access line includes one or more resistive layers (e.g., tungsten silicon nitride) each having a resistivity greater than the resistivity of the conductive material used to form the access line. The resistive layers are formed overlying or underlying at least a portion of the memory cells. A driver is electrically connected to the access line using a via. The driver generates a voltage on the access line to access the memory cells.

  • Patent number: 11566485
Abstract: An assembly is used for chemical injection through a wellhead to a capillary line in a well. A capillary hanger installs in the wellhead to support the capillary line. A no-return valve of the capillary hanger prevents fluid communication uphole from the supported capillary line. An injection module mounts above a gate valve on the wellhead and includes a movable mandrel disposed therein. Hydraulic pressure applied to a piston chamber in the module extends the mandrel through the open gate valve so that a distal end of the mandrel can open the no-return valve. At this point, chemical injection introduced into the module can communicate through a flow bore of the extended mandrel, through the open non-return valve, and on through the supported capillary line in the well.

In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line is split into left and right portions. Each portion is electrically connected to a single via, which a driver uses to generate a voltage on the access line. To reduce electrical discharge associated with current spikes, a first resistor is located between the left portion and the via, and a second resistor is located between the right portion and the via.

  • Publication number: 20230018569
Abstract: A method for providing a service cost trend of a vehicle as a function of a parameter. A trend generator accepts data, generated at a POS processor in a facility, without transcribing information, of an actual service activity cost performed there; stores the data according to its unique vehicle identifier and parameter value, determines a parameter range apportioned into intervals, orders accumulated data associated with the identifier whose parameter lies within the range by parameter value, divides the data into interval sets and extracts an attribute from the data in each set. A system may include a service facility and a trend generator having a receiver, a sorter, a trend generator and a transmitter to perform the method.

  • Publication number: 20220414080
Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.

  • Patent number: 11487545
Abstract: A processor branch prediction circuit employs back-invalidation of prediction cache entries based on decoded branch instructions. The execution information of a previously executed branch instruction is obtained from a prediction cache entry and compared to generated decode information in an instruction decode circuit. Execution information of branch instructions stored in the prediction cache entry is updated in response to a mismatch of the execution information and the decode information of the branch instruction. Existing branch prediction circuits invalidate prediction cache entries of a block of instructions when the block of instructions is invalidated in an instruction cache. As a result, valid branch instruction execution information may be unnecessarily discarded. Updating prediction cache entries in response to a mismatch of the execution information and the decode information of the branch instruction maintains the execution information in the prediction cache.

  • Publication number: 20220345235
Abstract: Broadcast positioning systems supporting location services through over-the-air broadcast television (TV) signals are disclosed. The broadcast positioning system supports a broadcast TV signal format that includes a transmission time of the broadcast TV. The transmission time of the broadcast TV signal is used by a TV signal receiver to determine the propagation delay of the broadcast TV signal between the TV signal transmitter and the TV signal receiver. The TV signal receiver is also configured to receive multiple broadcast TV signals from multiple TV broadcasters, wherein the same delay of arrival for those broadcast TV signals can be determined. In this manner, the TV signal receiver can use the determined multiple delays of arrival from the multiple received broadcast TV signals as time-of-arrival (TOA) and the known locations of the antenna radiating these multiple broadcast TV signals to perform a trilateration or multilateration calculation to determine its position.

  • Publication number: 20220324177
Abstract: Described is automatic, configurable manufacturing workflow (ACMW) technology for additive manufacturing (AM) systems. Apparatus, methods and systems employing ACMW technology provide AM systems with increased flexibility. ACMW technology is particularly suitable for lights-out AM and for continuous AM. In various embodiments of ACMW technology, efficiency and/or reliability of an AM system are increased and/or need for maintenance and/or human intervention is decreased. Broadly, ACMW technology can enable practical scale up of production AM, including automatic configuration of 3D printing clusters as may be desired, such automatic configuration including automatic reconfiguration as desired. This increases manufacturing flexibility and can lead to lower total cost per part (TCPP). ACMW technology addresses several cost and efficiency drivers involved in calculation of TCPP.
