Abstract: Described is automatic, configurable manufacturing workflow (ACMW) technology for additive manufacturing (AM) systems. Apparatus, methods and systems employing ACMW technology provide AM systems with increased flexibility. ACMW technology is particularly suitable for lights-out AM and for continuous AM. In various embodiments of ACMW technology, efficiency and/or reliability of an AM system are increased and/or need for maintenance and/or human intervention is decreased. Broadly, ACMW technology can enable practical scale up of production AM, including automatic configuration of 3D printing clusters as may be desired, such automatic configuration including automatic reconfiguration as desired. This increases manufacturing flexibility and can lead to lower total cost per part (TCPP). ACMW technology addresses several cost and efficiency drivers involved in calculation of TCPP.

  • Publication number: 20220319592
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line is split into left and right portions. Each portion is electrically connected to a single via, which a driver uses to generate a voltage on the access line. To reduce electrical discharge associated with current spikes, a first resistor is located between the left portion and the via, and a second resistor is located between the right portion and the via.

  • Publication number: 20220319594
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line has left and right portions. Spike current suppression is implemented by charge screening structures. The charge screening structures are formed by laterally integrating insulating layers into selected interior regions of the left and/or right portions of the access line. The insulating layers vertically separate the access line into top and bottom conductive portions above and below the insulating layers. For memory cells located overlying or underlying the insulating layers, the resistance to each memory cell is increased because the cell is accessed using only the higher resistance path of the top or bottom conductive portion.

  • Publication number: 20220319595
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to spike current suppression in a memory array. In one approach, a memory device includes a memory array having a cross-point memory architecture. The memory array has access lines (e.g., word lines and/or bit lines) configured to access memory cells of the memory array. Each access line has left and right portions. A conductive layer is positioned in the access line between the left and right portions. The conductive layer is formed in a socket that has been etched or otherwise formed in the access line to provide an opening. This opening is filled by the conductive layer. The conductive layer electrically connects the left and right portions of the access line to a via. A driver is electrically connected to the via for generating a voltage on the access line for accessing one or more memory cells.

  • Publication number: 20220318139
Abstract: A processor supporting a translation lookaside buffer (TLB) modification instruction for updating a hardware-managed TLB is disclosed. A page table (PT) entry (PTE) corresponding to a virtual memory address is identified by a PT walking circuit walking the PT and a corresponding TLB entry is created. An execution circuit in the processor executes a TLB modification instruction to cause the TLB entry corresponding to the virtual memory address to be updated based on an update to the PT mapping information in the PTE corresponding to the virtual memory address. In one example, a portion of the PT mapping information in a PTE corresponding to a virtual memory address is stored in a TLB mapping information in a TLB entry corresponding to the virtual memory address in response to the TLB modification instruction being executed by the execution circuit without invalidating the TLB entry.

  • Patent number: 11461306
Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.

  • Publication number: 20220283819
Abstract: A processor branch prediction circuit employs back-invalidation of prediction cache entries based on decoded branch instructions. The execution information of a previously executed branch instruction is obtained from a prediction cache entry and compared to generated decode information in an instruction decode circuit. Execution information of branch instructions stored in the prediction cache entry is updated in response to a mismatch of the execution information and the decode information of the branch instruction. Existing branch prediction circuits invalidate prediction cache entries of a block of instructions when the block of instructions is invalidated in an instruction cache. As a result, valid branch instruction execution information may be unnecessarily discarded. Updating prediction cache entries in response to a mismatch of the execution information and the decode information of the branch instruction maintains the execution information in the prediction cache.
