  • Patent number: 10728015
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine at least one of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) parameter associated with the UE or a modem function associated with a modem of the UE. The UE may control a loop bandwidth of a phase-locked loop (PLL), used to generate a tunable radio frequency (RF) carrier frequency used by the UE to communicate synchronously with a base station, based at least in part on at least one of the OFDM parameter or the modem function. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 10712837
Abstract: A virtual object that represents a tangible object is displayed in a three-dimensional image. Responsive to a first input which may be movement of the tangible object, the virtual object moves within the three-dimensional image. Alteration of how the three-dimensional image is displayed occurs responsive to a second input. For example, virtual medical tools can be controlled by manipulating tangible tools to perform procedures and tasks virtually. Eye tracking can be used to generate variable angular resolution in the field of view in a head display unit with which the three-dimensional image is displayed. Digital objects may be used to cause the viewer's eyes move from feature to feature in a saccades fashion or a smooth tracking fashion.

  • Publication number: 20200180740
Abstract: Multiple autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are operated by a single host surface vehicle (HSV) by configuring the AUVs with intermediate nodes (such as unmanned surface vehicles (USVs)) so as to allow the HSV to manage multiple AUVs. The intermediate nodes act as a relay for communications between the HSV and the AUVs allowing the HSV to scale to higher numbers of vehicles thus simultaneously operating the entire fleet of AUVs. The AUVs may provide underwater mapping data.

  • Patent number: 10680725
Abstract: In certain aspects, a method for calibration includes setting a phase shift of a first phase shifter to a reference phase shift, wherein the first phase shifter shifts a phase of a first signal transmitted via a first antenna. The method also includes sequentially setting a phase shift of a second phase shifter to each one of a first plurality of phase shifts, wherein the second phase shifter shifts a phase of a second signal transmitted via a second antenna. The method further includes receiving the first and second signals at a receiver via a third antenna, and, for each one of the first plurality of phase shifts, measuring a magnitude of a third signal at the receiver, wherein the third signal includes the received first and second signals. The method further includes determining a calibration phase shift based on one or more of the measured magnitudes.

  • Patent number: 10670460
Abstract: The present invention relates to a highly flexible stand-off distance chemical detector system such as can be used, for example, for standoff detection of explosives. Instead of a combined laser interrogation source and optical content detector on the same platform, those features are carried on separate platforms, including having plural optical content detectors on individual platforms. In one embodiment, the detector platforms are mobile remote-control apparatus. This allows collection and evaluation of optical content/information from multiple collection positions/directions and high flexibility in maneuverability of the collection function relative the target.

  • Publication number: 20200089504
Abstract: Branch prediction methods and systems include, for a branch instruction fetched by a processor, indexing a branch identification (ID) table based on a function of a program counter (PC) value of the branch instruction, wherein each entry of the branch ID table comprises at least a tag field, and an accuracy counter. For a tag hit at an entry indexed by the PC value, if a value of the corresponding accuracy counter is greater than or equal to zero, a prediction counter from a prediction counter pool is selected based on a function of the PC value and a load-path history, wherein the prediction counters comprise respective confidence values and prediction values. A memory-dependent branch prediction of the branch instruction is assigned as the prediction value of the selected prediction counter if the associated confidence value is greater than zero, while branch prediction from a conventional branch predictor is overridden.

  • Publication number: 20200022774
Abstract: Deformation of mobile soft tissue is detected and represented in a three-dimensional medical image based on radiographically-detectable markers that are implanted in the tissue. Locations of the markers are co-registered with locations within the tissue. Sensed changes in relative locations of the markers are used to calculate relative changes in locations within the tissue due to deformation. The changes are used to calculate coordinated multi-voxel manipulations, such that a real-time volumetric medical imaging dataset is developed. By co-registering the operating room coordinate system and the volumetric medical imaging coordinate system, depth-3-dimensional augmented reality viewing of this real-time volumetric medical imaging dataset can be achieved, thereby improving the surgeon's understanding of underlying surgical anatomy and ultimately improving surgical outcomes.

  • Publication number: 20190345065
Abstract: An admixture includes a first cementitious component, at least one unprocessed biomass component, calcium carbonate, an adhesive element, slag, amorphous silica, a water reducer, and fibers. The admixture is suitable for mixing with at least water to form a flowable material that cures to produce a hardened article. A method of producing a flowable material includes turning on a mixer and adding an unprocessed biomass component to a drum of the mixer. The unprocessed biomass component is sprayed with an adhesive element to form a first composition. Calcium carbonate is added to the first composition in the mixing chamber, to form a second composition. The second composition is mixed. A cementitious component is added to the mixed second composition in the mixing chamber, to form a third composition, which is mixed with water and calcium chloride to produce the flowable material. The flowable material cures to form the hardened material.
