  • Patent number: 10159244
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for the preparation of a pooled or mixed population of cryopreserved cells (e.g. hepatocytes). In particular, the invention entails the rapid thaw of cells (e.g. hepatocytes), donated from a single individual, which are mixed to create a heterogeneous population and then cryopreserved. The invention also concerns preparations of multi-cryopreserved cells to increase viability prior to immediate use. The process entails reducing exposure to chemical and physical stresses to increase the resultant number of viable cells.

  • Publication number: 20180119140
Abstract: Provided herein are methods for inducing CRISPR/Cas-based gene regulation (e.g., genome editing or gene expression) of a target nucleic acid (e.g., target DNA or target RNA) in a cell. The methods include using modified single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) that enhance gene regulation of the target nucleic acid in a primary cell for use in ex vivo therapy or in a cell in a subject for use in in vivo therapy. Additionally, provided herein are methods for preventing or treating a genetic disease in a subject by administering a sufficient amount of a modified sgRNA to correct a mutation in a target gene associated with the genetic disease.

  • Patent number: 9183561
Abstract: Automatic trend analysis is provided on a dataset. Upon selection of a data cell or chart point within a data representation, a trend chart is automatically generated in order to demonstrate how the data within the selection trends over time. The system may automatically configure the trend chart based on the metadata of a data source associated with a selected data such that no input or configuration is needed by a user. The system may identify the time hierarchies and other data attributes included in the metadata of the data source associated with a selected data cell and may automatically configure the axis settings and the trend lines according to metadata of the data source. The trend chart may also be configured to display multiple trend lines for comparing multiple data set trends over a specified time period.

  • Patent number: 8989870
Abstract: An energy management system facilitates the transfer of high frequency energy coupled into an implanted lead at a selected RF frequency or frequency band, to an energy dissipating surface. This is accomplished by conductively coupling the implanted lead to the energy dissipating surface through an energy diversion circuit including one or more passive electronic network components whose impedance characteristics are at least partially tuned to the implanted lead's impedance characteristics.
