    Abstract: The present invention relates to the caching of static information relating to a communication application executed in an user equipment in a wireless communication systems. The method of the invention is applicable in the establishment of, or during, a communication session, between the user equipment and a service application, via a proxy. The user equipment sends a start message, comprising a location indicator, to the proxy requesting to utilize a service application. The proxy access a caching node by the use of the location indicator and retrieves the static information. The static information has been cached in the caching node prior to the communication session. The proxy forms a request based on the static information, and sends it to the service application. The service application will be provided with static information without the static information has to be transferred from the user equipment during each communication session.

Thereby the client terminal (102a) may take the recommendation of the service provider into account when requesting set-up of the bearer service.

    Abstract: The invention relates a method, a system, a server and a computer program product for Multimedia Capability discovery of different user terminals 12,13. This solution avoid unnecessary use of the radio interface and is based on a network storage 18, which is accessible without registration to find out about the calling as well as the called user's multimedia capabilities during a voice call. If there is a positive capability discovery result out of this for both users, the system will send a message to each of the two user terminals 12,13 that they should notify the users e.g. by displaying an icon above a soft button. There will be no need for establishing a packet switched session, which uses a lot of radio interface signalling, until the Multimedia Service capability of both subscribers and their user terminals are investigated and responded to both user terminals and their users.

    Abstract: A multimedia messaging system for sending and receiving multimedia MMS messages. The MMS messages are sent to a MMS server and addressed to the recipient's MSISDN number. MMS server sends a notification to a PAP server that sends the notification as a WAP Push to the recipient mobile device telling the mobile device to retrieve the message. If the recipient mobile device is engaged in an on going or dedicated session with the Internet, the notification is sent to the recipient mobile device during the session. The recipient mobile device then initiates a HTTP GET request to retrieve the multimedia message via the voice or data channel of a PLMN. If the recipient mobile device is not engaged in an on going or dedicated session with the Internet, the notification is sent to the recipient mobile device as a WAP Push using SMS as bearer via the signaling channel of the PLMN. The recipient mobile device then initiates a HTTP GET request to retrieve the multimedia message via the voice or data channel of the PLMN.
