  • Patent number: 8610941
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for printing printed material which is individualized with logistical printed image elements, wherein at least one printed image, particularly a static printed image, which is printed in a printing machine, is individualized by technically adding at least one dynamic logistical printed image element. According to the invention, data of the/each dynamic logistical printed image element is combined in such a way that the/each printed image and the/each logistical printed image element are automatically updated by comparing data between a data bank provided by a print job user and a data bank provided by a logistics provider prior to printing the printed material individualized with the/each logistical printed image element.

  • Patent number: 8608545
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a gaming system, device, and method providing a cascading symbols feature. For a play of a game, the system generates and displays one of a plurality of symbols at each of a plurality of symbol display areas, and determines any awards associated with the displayed symbols. If a triggering event occurs, the system determines a set of the displayed symbols. For each displayed symbol of the determined set, the system removes that displayed symbol, resulting in an empty symbol display area. For each empty symbol display area, the system repositions one of the other displayed symbols, which creates a second empty symbol display area, and causes at least one of any repositioned symbols to be a wild symbol. The system generates and displays one of the symbols at each of any second empty symbol display areas, and determines any additional awards associated with the displayed symbols.

  • Patent number: 8263733
Abstract: Helical tube evaporators are used to concentrate aqueous extract solutions from the extraction of polyamides based on polyamide 6. A process for preparing polyamides based on polyamide 6 comprises the stages of b) monophasic or biphasic reaction of aqueous extract solutions from the extraction of polyamides based on polyamide 6, which may be enriched with caprolactam, aminocapronitrile, aminocaproic acid or mixtures thereof, in a prereactor at pressures in the range from 5 to 40 bar and temperatures in the range from 150 to 300° C., the gaseous phase formed being removable from the liquid phase in the case of the biphasic reaction, c) discharge of the reaction mixture from stage b) through a helical tube evaporator at a temperature in the range from 220 to 300° C. with pressure reduction to about atmospheric pressure and removal of a gaseous phase to obtain a liquid phase, d) further reaction of the liquid phase from stage c) at temperatures in the range from 240 to 300° C.

  • Patent number: 8244427
Abstract: A vehicle includes a power inverter module (PIM), a motor/generator unit (MGU), vehicle components, temperature sensors, and a controller. The sensors measure temperatures of a motor winding of the MGU, and temperatures of the multiple phase outputs of the PIM. The second plurality of temperature sensors measures temperatures of the vehicle components. The controller calculates an average temperature of the components, and individually diagnoses each temperature sensor using the average temperature. A control circuit for the vehicle includes the first and second plurality of sensors and the controller. A temperature performance diagnostic method includes using the first plurality to measure a temperature of the motor winding and the phase outputs of the PIM, using the second plurality to measure a temperature of the components, calculating an average temperature of the components, and individually diagnosing the performance of each of the first plurality of sensors using the average temperature.

  • Patent number: 8197300
Abstract: Correction of grinding spindle positions in double-side grinding machines for the simultaneous double-side machining of semiconductor wafers is achieved by torsionally coupling the two grinding spindles, each comprising a grinding disk flange for receiving a grinding disk, and providing a measuring unit with an inclinometer and two sensors for distance measurement, between the two grinding disk flanges such that the grinding spindles are essentially in the position they would have with mounted grinding disks during the grinding process, wherein the coupled grinding spindles are rotated while inclinometer and sensors determine radial and axial correction values of axial alignment to adjust the grinding spindles to a symmetrical orientation. The spindle positions may be corrected under the action of process forces.
