  • Publication number: 20190042649
Abstract: Information from a variety of different sources may be used to enrich information about an object retrieved from a computing device/instance associated with a computing network (or web service provider). The additional information from the different sources provides to a user a more comprehensive set of information that may not be easily found (or even available) via sources associated with the computing network. As such, the additional information is beneficial in assisting users in making decisions regarding the purchase, licensing, and use of different objects (e.g. software, hardware, web services) associated with the computing network.

  • Publication number: 20180331947
Abstract: A method may include receiving a domain name system (DNS) query at a network device, where the DNS query may be associated with a traffic flow identified for rerouting through an alternative path utilizing an alternative network device instead of a default path. The method may also include rewriting the DNS query such that the DNS query is routed through the alternative network device along the alternative path and to a DNS server associated with the alternative path. The method may additionally include receiving a DNS response from the DNS server, where a resource identified in the DNS response may be based on the DNS query coming through the alternative network device.

  • Patent number: 9959026
Abstract: Techniques for spread and pinch gestures are described. A spread gesture can be recognized effective to cause an item to be duplicated. In implementations, the spread gesture includes at least two inputs that select the item and spread apart to increase a distance between the two inputs. The item is divided into two substantially identical items in response to the distance between the two inputs exceeding a distance threshold. A pinch gesture can also be recognized effective to cause one or more items to be removed from a display of items. In implementations, the pinch gesture includes two or more inputs that select and drag two non-adjacent items toward one another to decrease a distance between the two non-adjacent items. The one or more items that are between the two non-adjacent items are removed from the display based on recognition of the pinch gesture.

  • Publication number: 20150120766
Abstract: The method involves aggregating post text, information about the type of content that has been posted, the post's creation time (time stamp), geographical origin (geo tag) and the username and storing it in a database. In order to search content that has been stored a web-server prompts clients for their search terms which it then parses. The webserver is programmed to identify portions of the search terms as corresponding to locations, hashtags or general search keywords. The method then involves interrogating the database to return relevant results from the vast array of social media content. The results are initially presented back to clients as links comprising markers on a map described on the screen of the client's device. The client can scroll the map view in order to also see the results in a list format. The client can then refine the results according to a number of filters.

  • Publication number: 20150028566
Abstract: The invention is an accessory boardsport foot-binding mounting plate. The invention provides a means for the rapid adjustment of foot-binding mounting angles without the use of tools. The invention is comprised of two concentric discs, which, in isolation from each other, have no moving parts. The invention is to be mounted between a foot-binding and a board. When mounted, the upper disc can be manually rotated over the lower disc, clockwise and counterclockwise, to effect a rotational lock and unlock of the foot-binding. When unlocked, the foot-binding drops approximately 1/10th of an inch, disengages from its retaining plate, and can be freely rotated to any desired angle in 360 degrees on the plane of the board. The foot-binding angle can be changed with or without the users foot actively strapped into the foot-binding.

  • Publication number: 20140373934
Abstract: An attachment for a float valve may permit a larger flow of water than conventional float valves. A second outlet of the attachment may be dimensioned such that a greater amount of water is able to exit it than through an outlet of the float valve. This helps replenish the trough at a greater flow rate than what is possible through the use of the float valve alone.

  • Patent number: 8516385
Abstract: A method comprising associating a user interface object and a user interface state of a user interface, the user interface state being at least partially defined by respective configurations of a collection of user interface objects included within the user interface in the state. The method further includes receiving a link instruction identifying an association between the user interface object and a further user interface state. Additionally, the method includes processing the link instruction to associate the user interface object with the further user interface state. The method also includes displaying, a visual representation of the association between the user interface object and the further user interface state.

  • Patent number: 8289325
Abstract: An application binary interface includes a descriptor specifying a binary shader for each pass of a multi-pass shader. The application binary interface also includes a graphics state of a graphics object for each pass of the multi-pass shader. The graphics state for the first pass is an initial graphics state of the graphics object. The graphics state for each subsequent pass specifies a change from the graphics state of a previous pass. The application binary interface further includes parameters for the binary shaders. The application binary interface links the binary shaders together based on the parameters. Further, the parameters of the binary shaders may be modified at run time to configure the multi-pass shader. The binary shader of each pass is then executed based on the graphics state and parameters of the pass to render the graphics object.
