Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to adaptable drawing guides. In implementations, a guide mode is identified. Generally, a guide mode indicates a manner in which to use a drawing guide to confine strokes corresponding with input paths. Upon detecting an input path, a stroke is drawn in accordance with the guide mode. For example, when an edge mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined to align with at least one edge of the drawing guide, when an inside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined inside of the set of edges of the drawing guide, and when the outside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined outside of the set of edges of the drawing guide.

Multiple application programming interface (API) calls are made by a database observation system to request information for multiple service level indicators from database servers belonging to multiple different entities. Database observation system receives and aggregates the information for multiple service level indicators from each of the database servers belonging to multiple different entities. The database observation system provides, within a dashboard interface, the aggregated information for each of the multiple service level indicators, individual service level indicator scores, and aggregated service level indicator scores for each of the database servers for each of the multiple entities.

Abstract: An integrated circuit may include multiple instances of a component (e.g. a processor) and a control circuit. The instances may be configured to operate in various modes. Some of the modes are incapable of presenting a worst-case load on the power supply. The control circuit may be configured to monitor the instances and detect the modes in which the instances are operating. Based on the monitoring, the control circuit may request to recover a portion of the voltage margin established for worst-case conditions in the instances.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods related to applying lighting models to images of objects are provided. An example method includes applying a geometry model to an input image to determine a surface orientation map indicative of a distribution of lighting on an object based on a surface geometry. The method further includes applying an environmental light estimation model to the input image to determine a direction of synthetic lighting to be applied to the input image. The method also includes applying, based on the surface orientation map and the direction of synthetic lighting, a light energy model to determine a quotient image indicative of an amount of light energy to be applied to each pixel of the input image. The method additionally includes enhancing, based on the quotient image, a portion of the input image. One or more neural networks can be trained to perform one or more of the aforementioned aspects.

Abstract: An electronic just-in-time learning and training system that is integrated into a user workflow to provide users with the knowledge they require to complete the tasks in the workflow and to provide meaningful and impactful training to users or advancement along a learning or training path. User tasks are matched to training modules in a training database to assist with completion of a task while a user profile tracks user training to deliver the most appropriate training modules. The system tracks completion of training modules to guide the user with training and advancement and to offer the user opportunities for additional certification and learning.

Abstract: A system and a method for promoting a tutor on a platform. The system receives a tutor profile from the tutor. The tutor profile comprises a set of information about the tutor and a first cohort of students assigned to the tutor. The system randomly assigns a question received from a student belonging to a second cohort of students to the tutor in real time. The system further receives an answer to the question from the tutor. Further, the system analyses the answer based on a machine learning model. Subsequently, the system requests feedback about the tutor from the student of the second cohort of students. The system evaluates the tutor based on the plurality of parameters and the feedback receiving using deep learning algorithms. Finally, the system promotes the tutor for a group coaching of the students on the platform.

The system includes: a camera statically positioned with respect to the chain, the camera configured to generate a frame to include a link from among the multiple links; and a controller module operationally coupled to the camera and programmed to repeat the steps of: receiving the frame; converting the frame to a black and white frame with a high-contrast; identifying a link type of the link in the black and white frame based on referencing a plurality of predefined skyline templates; and, storing the link with the link type and a respective temporal marker in a cache, storing a sequence. The system continues until discovering that the chain has cycled back to the starting link, identifies a type of chain for the chain, and fingerprints the chain.

Abstract: A method is provided for maintaining an onboard reasoner for diagnosing failures on an aircraft that includes aircraft systems configured to report faults to the onboard reasoner. The method includes accessing diagnostic data received from an onboard computer of the aircraft that includes the onboard reasoner. An off-board reasoner builds an off-board diagnostic causal model that describes causal relationships between the failed tests and the diagnosed failure modes. The off-board diagnostic causal model is compared to the diagnostic data. Based thereon, a discrepancy is identified between the graph of the off-board diagnostic causal model, and the other graph of the onboard diagnostic causal model, to determine a new causal relationship relative to the known causal relationships. The onboard diagnostic causal model is updated to further describe the new causal relationship, including producing an updated model, and uploading the updated model to the onboard computer.

Abstract: Digital content design system techniques are described using baseline units to control arrangement and sizing of digital content. In one example, a digital content design system receives a user input specifying a number of baselines to be included within an available display area of a page. Baselines are used to align digital content to control arrangement of the digital content within the page, e.g., text. From this, the digital content design system then calculates a baseline unit from a distance used to space adjacent baselines of the number of baselines from each other. This baseline unit is then leveraged by the system as a fundamental unit of measure to control arrangement and/or sizing of digital content in relation to each other.

Abstract: An adaptive prefetcher for a shared system cache of a processing system including multiple requestors having a cache miss monitor and a prefetch controller. The cache miss monitor monitors requests for information from memory and identifies one of the requestors for which an identified cache line is requested. The prefetch controller submits an adaptive request for a subsequent cache line. The subsequent cache line may be determined based on a latency comparison between a loop latency (LL) of the prefetch controller and a stream latency (SL) of the identified requestor. A latency memory may be included that stores stream latencies for the requestors. The latency comparison may be used to determine how many cache lines to skip relative to the identified cache line, such as according to SL*SK<LL?SL*(SK+1) in which SK is the number of cache lines to skip.

Abstract: A method is provided for diagnosing a failure on an aircraft that includes aircraft systems configured to report faults to an onboard reasoner. The method includes receiving a fault report at an onboard computer of the aircraft from an aircraft system of the aircraft systems, the fault report indicating failed tests reported by the aircraft system. The onboard reasoner accesses an onboard diagnostic causal model represented by a graph describing known causal relationships between possible failed tests reported by the respective ones of the aircraft systems, and possible failure modes of the respective ones of the aircraft systems. The onboard reasoner diagnoses a failure mode of the aircraft system or another of the aircraft systems, from the failed tests, and using a graph-theoretic algorithm and the onboard diagnostic causal model. A maintenance action is determined for the failure mode, and a maintenance message is generated including the maintenance action.

Each emergency support system continuously monitors for motion to identify anomalous motion activity on a local level. In response, a notification is sent to a base station that provides a global analysis by collecting motion data from nearby emergency support systems. An alert is generated if anomalous motion is detected across multiple emergency support systems.

Abstract: A system and method for automation of task identification and control in a software lifecycle. Software context for a software asset is extracted from context repositories of the software asset during software development and operation, the extracted context data is matched to relevant tasks in a knowledge database to select tasks for the software asset, and task prioritization and orchestration are presented in a prioritized task list during a software lifecycle.

Abstract: Provided is a system and method that can identify whether an item is a dangerous good. The system can determine whether a product belongs in any of a number of different classes of dangerous goods from among a plurality of different regulations based on a machine learning algorithm which performs a text-based classification. In one example, the method may include receiving an identification of an object, retrieving a plurality of descriptive attributes of the object from a data store and converting the plurality of descriptive attributes into an input string, predicting whether the object is a dangerous object via execution of a text-based machine learning algorithm that receives the input string as an input, and outputting information about the prediction of the object for display via a user interface.
