Abstract: A method and system for enabling the display of portions of internet documents that have been selected by users of a content selection service are disclosed. Accordingly, a content selection service includes a web portal with a web page providing users with a snippet of code, which, when inserted into an internet document, causes the internet document to display selected portions from the content selection service. The snippet of code can be configured to query the content selection service for content portions that were generated by certain users, or, content selection made on documents from certain domains, and so forth. The code associated with the user interface object displaying the content selections can be configured to periodically query the content selection service to retrieve up-to-date portions, thereby dynamically changing the content selections appearing on a web page or internet document.

Distributed within the polymer matrix are neutron capture agents, such as 6LiF nanoparticles, and organic or inorganic luminescent fluors. The composite materials can be formed into stretched or unstretched thin films, fibers or fiber mats.

Abstract: Methods and systems for intelligently choosing an authoritative name server from among a group of name servers for resolving Domain Name System requests. Systems and methods are provided that enable choosing of a first server associated with and/or operated by a first service provider based on a first measurement associated with that first server. The systems and methods further comprise requesting first data from that first server, determining that the first server is unresponsive, and choosing a second server. The second server is chosen based on a second measurement, and chosen contingent on it being associated with and/or operated by to a different service provider than that associated with the first server. The systems and methods then comprise requesting second data from the second server.

Abstract: A method is described that includes accessing bids for ranked goods and minimum rank indicators that each specifies a lowest rank for a good that is acceptable to a bidder, assigning a ranked good to a first bidder based on a first bid and a first minimum rank indicator each associated with the first bidder, and outputting a signal indicative of a cost of the assigned rank good based on a second bid associated with a next highest bidder having a second minimum rank indicator that specifies a rank that is inclusive of a rank of the ranked good assigned to the first bidder.

Abstract: A system and methods for providing guarantees about faithful execution of databases that run under the control of an untrusted entity—such as a cloud computing service provider—that is different than the owner of the data and applications being outsourced; or runs on a server that may be compromised by unauthorized users. Specifically, the system and methods establishes that an untrusted database is being faithfully hosted and provides indemnity for the service provider from false claims, enabling the server to prove its innocence against untrue claims of faulty operation. The invention also provides assured provenance for all changes made to the database.

Abstract: In one embodiment, controls for an agreement from a supplier are set up. The agreement includes a plurality of items for purchase. The controls may be used to determine a degree of touchlessness in the buying of the items. The controls may be configured at the agreement level. A requisition from a requester for a target item is received. In one embodiment, sourcing rules and ASLs may be searched to determine if a sourcing rule and ASL applies to the item. If so, then the sourcing rule and ASL may be used to determine an agreement. If a sourcing rule and ASL do not apply, agreements can be searched to determine an agreement for the target item. Once the agreement is determined, controls are determined from the agreement, where the controls govern the plurality of items of the agreement.

The method comprises mixing the dough ingredients, forming gas nucleation sites by proofing the dough, exercising the dough by subjecting the dough to cycles of differential pressure, allowing the dough to return to ambient pressure and then, optionally, baking the dough.

At the server, data stored in the local usage cache is aggregated on a tenant basis, such that data is aggregated for given tenants. The aggregated data is sent to a distributed cache. At the server, aggregated data from other servers in the cluster is received from the distributed cache. The aggregated data from other servers in the cluster is globally aggregated and stored at an aggregated usage cache at the server in the globally aggregated form.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a fusion protein resulting from the fusion of a cancer-specific antibody and an angiogenesis inhibitor, and relates to an anti-cancer composition including the same. More specifically, in the present invention, it is preferable that the cancer-specific antibody is trastuzumab or a fragment thereof, and the angiogenesis inhibitor is a VEGF-Trap. When the fusion protein according to the present invention is used, there are advantages in that angiogenesis and cancer cell growth can be effectively inhibited as compared to trastuzumab or VEGF-Trap, and side effects can also be reduced.

In one embodiment, a structure includes: a plurality of bit cells within a static random access memory (SRAM) column architecture; a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) connected to the bit cells through a pair of multiplexers; and a pre-charge circuit connected to the bit cells through the pair of multiplexers, wherein the DAC and the pre-charge circuit control and test the bit cells to determine a degree of process variation skew between each of the bit cells.
