At least one hammer is disposed in front of the back plate. The at least one hammer is spring-biased for forward movement and away from the back plate and is releasably retained against such forward movement by a magnetic force acting rearwardly thereon. An elongated pole piece that is associated with the at least one hammer extends forwardly from the front surface of the back plate and is selectively operable to interrupt the magnetic force acting thereon.

NCOL varies for different modulation schemes. The encoded data is interleaved, which includes entering the encoded data into NROW rows and reading the encoded data out in NCOL columns. The payload information of the PHY data unit is modulated according to the modulation scheme, and a plurality of OFDM symbols is formed based on the modulated payload information.

With the glass article on the mold and the isothermal heat transfer device in thermal contact with the mold, the glass article, mold, and isothermal heat transfer device are transported along a thermally-graded channel to cool the glass article to a second temperature. During the transporting, the isothermal heat transfer device transfers heat from a relatively hot region of the mold to a relatively cold region of the mold.
