    Abstract: Technologies for optimizing post-FEC bit error rate performance of a Forward Error Correction (FEC) system are described. A controller is coupled to an FEC circuit and a receiver circuit. The controller receives FEC symbol error data from the FEC circuit and determines, using the FEC symbol error data, a post-FEC correlated performance metric indicative of an estimated post-FEC BER of the FEC circuit. The controller adjusts, based on the post-FEC correlated performance metric, at least one of a FEC parameter of the FEC circuit or a link parameter of the receiver circuit to decrease the estimated post-FEC BER. This improves the post-FEC BER performance of the FEC circuit.

    Abstract: A method of operating a motor vehicle includes a vehicle controller receiving, from a first feedback sensor of an HV component, a first feedback signal indicative of an electrical characteristic of the HV component, and then detecting an HV system fault if the first feedback signal is less than a predefined electrical threshold. Upon detecting the system fault, the controller commands the HV component to operate at a commanded set-point; after sending the command, the controller receives, from a second feedback sensor of the HV component, a second feedback signal indicative of an operating characteristic of the HV component. An HV pathway failure is detected if the second feedback signal is not equal to or within a predefined operating range of the commanded set-point. Upon detecting the pathway failure in an HV electrical pathway of the HV component, the vehicle controller transmits a command signal to take a remedial action.

Some embodiments apply machine learning to the analysis of unstructured text to identify regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity risks. The query string is tokenized and the tokenized parts are converted into nodes of a query graph and relationships are defining between the nodes. After identifying matches between terms in target text with nodes of the query graph, a graph is generated using matched terms as nodes. Based on the defined relationships, a determination is made whether any group of nodes on the graph satisfy the query string. Any matched nodes are mapped to the target text, and this information is provided to an analyst or reviewer for further consideration or action.

    Abstract: A memory controller circuit receives memory access requests from a network of a computer system. Entries are reserved for these requests in a retry queue circuit. An arbitration circuit of the memory controller circuit issues those requests to a tag pipeline circuit that determines whether the received memory access requests hit in a memory cache. As a memory access request passes through the tag pipeline circuit, it may require another pass through this pipeline—for example, if resources such as certain storage circuits needed to complete the memory access request are unavailable (for example a snoop queue circuit). The reservation that has been made in the retry queue circuit thus keeps the request from having to be returned to the network for resubmission to the memory controller circuit if initial processing of the memory access request cannot be completed.
