  • Patent number: 6816175
Abstract: The present invention relates to means and a method executable by a computer system for navigation within a tree structure with leaf nodes representing arbitrary types of objects, i.e. of related data treated as a unit. According to the current teaching a travel point representation step is suggested, wherein after selection of at least one non-leaf node as travel point only the path and non-leaf nodes in said tree structure from said travel point to the root of said tree structure is represented in a tree view area. Moreover the complete sub-tree of said travel point is represented in said tree view area. In addition or alternatively after selection of said travel point, a travel box is represented for said travel point, said travel box representing object identifications of all objects of all leaf nodes in said sub tree of said travel point.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of improving the transfer in an annular biological reaction chamber defined by coaxial inner and outer walls (11, 12) and in which there flows a liquid reaction medium containing a culture of microorganisms or of cells from vegetable or animal macroorganisms in suspension. At least one of the walls is an exchange wall enabling gaseous or liquid matter to be transferred or allowing light to pass through. The reaction medium is subjected to a turbulent primary flow that is helical and that under the action of centrifugal force creates rotary secondary vortices so as to encourage renewal of the culture in the vicinity of the exchange wall.

  • Patent number: 6815345
Abstract: A method for in-line monitoring of via/contact etching process based on a test structure is described. The test structure is comprised of via/contact holes of different sizes and densities in a layout such that, for a certain process, the microloading or RIE lag induced non-uniform etch rate produce under-etch in some regions and over-etch in others. A scanning electron microscope is used to distinguish these etching differences in voltage contrast images. Image processing and simple calibration convert these voltage contrast images into a “fingerprint” image characterizing the etching process in terms of thickness over-etched or under-etched. Tolerance of shifting or deformation of this image can be set for validating the process uniformity. This image can also be used as a measure to monitor long-term process parameter shifting, as well as wafer-to-wafer or lot-to-lot variations.

The device may have an array of pixels of which each is controllable to be sensitive to a particular wavelength of light that is selected and detected. The detection of particular frequencies on a pixel level may result in spectral analysis of the target. Further, each pixel of the bolometer via an associated etalon may be tuned to detect a different frequency of IR or be switched to broadband detection of IR. The device may be packaged in an integrated vacuum package where the etalon array becomes the topcap which is bonded to the wafer containing the bolometer array.
