  • Publication number: 20020131145
Abstract: A forming method and a structure of a high efficiency electro-optics device are disclosed. In the present invention, the cell-fixing surface between the die carrier and the electro-optics cell is decreased to increase the light emitting and absorbing regions of the electro-optics device. Thus, the operating efficiency and the sensitivity of the electro-optics device is increased substantially. Especially, the present invention has the advantage of fully showing the efficacy of device using the transparent substrate. Furthermore, when the electro-optics cell is fixing on the cell-fixing surface by utilizing the eutectic or metal-melting bonding method, a result of self-alignment can be achieved. Thus, the accuracy of the packaging device is increased substantially, thereby reducing the loss caused by the failure of poor cell-fixing while in mass production and meanwhile increasing the accuracy of fixing cell. Therefore, the present technology is quite suitable for use in the packaging of high precision.

  • Patent number: 6168026
Abstract: A component carrier for holding a component includes a carrier substrate and a pocket recessed in the substrate for holding the component in its interior. The pocket has a wall and a floor, and the wall includes a series of elongated arcuate channels. The channels are concave relative to the pocket interior and extend substantially perpendicular to the pocket floor. The wall is substantially flat between the channels. A substantially continuous pedestal projects from the pocket floor. The pedestal has (i) an upper surface for supporting the component, (ii) a pair of support walls extending from the pocket floor and terminating in the support surface, and (iii) a notched portion intermediate the pedestal and defined by a lateral support member extending between the support walls and spaced from the pocket floor, for absorbing lateral components of compressive forces applied to the pedestal.

  • Patent number: 6104125
Abstract: A linear actuator includes two spaced seats connecting by a center piezoelectric member. The seats are mounted in a rail frame. Each seat has a piezoelectric member and an elastic zone for engaging or disengaging with the rail frame. Through energizing and disenergizing the center piezoelectric member alternately, the center piezoelectric member may be extended or contracted alternately, and thus moves the seats, consequently the actuator, longitudinally along the rail frame. A linear and accurate movement of the actuator thus may be achieved at micro meter level.

  • Patent number: 5156004
Abstract: A composite semiconductive thermoelectric refrigerating module comprises dozens or hundreds composite P-N couples which are electrically connected in series to form an array of required configuration which is fixed with electrical and thermal insulator and combined with the heat absorber and a thermal radiator, respectively, by thermoconductive greased films of electrical insulation. The refrigerating device is characterized by a good conductor sandwiched between the semiconductor head parts of a thermoelectric element by surface-to-surface brazing. This device can be substituted for small sized vapor compression refrigerating devices. The first embodiment of the invention is of circular configuration, while the second embodiment is rectangular. Other embodiments of specific configurations in accordance with requirements can also be constructed.
