  • Patent number: 9576066
Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems parse a form from a webpage to identify a plurality of input areas and corresponding input types. A multi-sequence form including a plurality of stages is generated. Each stage of the multi-sequence form is to be displayed and submitted independently of other stages of the multi-sequence form. Each stage of the multi-sequence form corresponds to a subset of the parsed form including one or more of the identified input areas. One of the plurality of identified input areas is identified to be of an input type categorized as having a higher likelihood of being completed and submitted by a user. The multi-sequence form is ordered such that the identified input area is ordered first. An updated version of the webpage is generated including the generated multi-sequence form in the determined order in place of the parsed form.

  • Patent number: 9237174
Abstract: A system of managing collaborative session control when controller is lost or changes to passive-control mode in a data communication network comprising of a control-capable terminal device that can generate and send user preferences on successive controller selection and control policy, a master server device that can make control transfer decisions or take over control upon events, a normal terminal device that can process and response to master server queries on control capacity and its willingness to take over control. These apparatus are connected to each other inside one collaborative session, regardless of their subscriptions. A method of control management of the collaborative session without constant enrollment of controller comprises the steps of sending different types of preferences to master server device; making control transfer or handover decision; and interacting with affected terminals.

  • Patent number: 9179358
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for reducing congestion in a wireless communications system. A second connection failure is detected, and a difference between a timestamp of the second connection failure and a timestamp of a first connection failure is calculated. Upon determining that the difference satisfies a first time threshold, information relating to one or more previous connection failures is cleared. A time period is identified. A number of connection failures from a cell that occur during the time period is identified. A determination is made as to whether the number of connection failures satisfies a threshold. Upon determining that the number of connection failures satisfies the threshold, a future connection request may be withheld for a time period.

  • Publication number: 20150261874
Abstract: Web pages of a website are parsed and a set of n-grams are generated from the parsed web pages. A relevancy value is determined for each n-gram and a second set of n-grams is generated by removing any n-gram in the first set whose relevancy value is below a threshold. A third set of n-grams is generated at least by removing those of the second set of n-grams that have been determined to be similar to another one of the second set of n-grams. Responsive to determining that there is not a web page that is directed at an n-gram, a web page is automatically created with content directed at that n-gram including reusing existing content of the website that is related to the n-gram. One or more links to the created page are added to web pages so that the created page is not an orphan page.

  • Patent number: 9023758
Abstract: A method for promoting the health of a plant comprises administering malic acid to the plant or the soil in an amount effective to recruit plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to the plant. Administration of malic acid promotes biofilm formation of PGPR on the plant's roots, thereby restricting entry of a foliar pathogen through stomatal pores present in the leaves. Another method for promoting the health of a plant comprises administering acetoin to the plant or the soil in an amount effective to increase pathogen resistance in aerial parts of the plant.

  • Patent number: 8941712
Abstract: Providing high availability multi-way conferencing. Separate signaling and media components may be provided within an MCU or among a cluster of MCUs. A signaling server may control signaling aspects of a conference while a media server may provide media support for the conference. In the event of media server failure, the signaling server may assign a new media server to provide media support for the conference. A backup signaling server may also monitor the signaling server and may provide signaling support for the conference in the event of signaling server failure.

  • Patent number: 8810950
Abstract: A method for data sequence detection includes generating a first sample stream, equalizing the first sample stream to generate a first equalized sample stream, and buffering the first equalized sample stream. The first sample stream is interpolated to generate a second sample stream. The second sample stream is equalized to generate a second equalized sample stream. In a first processing path, the samples of the buffered first equalized sample stream are filtered using a first noise predictive filter bank to generate a first set of noise sample streams. In a second parallel processing path, the samples of the buffered first equalized sample stream are interpolated using a second interpolation filter to generate an interpolated sample stream and the interpolated sample stream is filtered to generate a second set of noise sample streams. The first equalized sample stream and the second equalized sample stream are processed to generate adapted filter coefficients for the second interpolation filter.
