  • Patent number: 11132183
Abstract: This disclosure involves development and deployment platforms for decision algorithms. For example, a computing system provides software development interface to a client device. The system sets, based on an input from the client device via the interface, a decision engine to a test mode that causes the decision engine to operate on test data stored in a first database and that prevents the decision engine from applying operations from the client device to production data stored in a second database. The system also configures the decision engine in the test mode to execute a different decision algorithms on the test data. The system also sets, based on another input via the interface, the decision engine to a deployment mode that causes the decision engine to operate on the production data. The system configures the decision engine in the deployment mode to execute one or more of the tested decision algorithms.

  • Patent number: 11082125
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to systems and methods for an intelligent autonomous decision making module that maximizes the return of the most scientifically relevant dataset over the low bandwidth for experts to analyze further. A rule based knowledge extraction methodology is disclosed, guided by expert knowledge for all scientifically relevant geological landforms with respect to expert selected attributes. The datasets are subsequently prioritized based on how novel the instances are with respect to its rule and is used to update the rules. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is then determined by evaluating how acceptable the prioritization order is to experts and explaining the decisions to increase the interpretability of the assigned priority.

  • Patent number: 10963392
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently handling data selected for eviction in a computing system. In various embodiments, a computing system includes one or more processors, a system memory, and a victim cache. The cache controller of a particular cache in a cache memory subsystem includes an allocator for determining whether to allocate data evicted from the particular cache into the victim cache. The data fetched into the first cache includes data fetched to service miss requests, which includes demand requests and prefetch requests. To determine whether to allocate, the allocator determines whether a usefulness of data fetched into the particular cache exceeds a threshold. If so, the evicted data is stored in the victim cache. If not, the evicted data bypasses the victim cache. Data determined to be accessed by a processor is deemed to be of a higher usefulness.

  • Patent number: 10902743
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for facilitating non-verbal communication. An electronic processor receives data from the hand-gesture sensor indicative of one or more gestures performed by a user, determines at least one word or phrase corresponding to the data from the hand-gestures sensor, and outputs a text representation of the at least one word or phrase on the display screen. Some systems output the text representation as a natural language sentence based on the data from the hand-gesture sensor and linguistic prosody information determined based, at least in part, on image data of the user captured while performing the one or more gesture. Some systems also includes at least one brain sensor and generate an alternative natural language text sentence in response to detecting a signal from the brain sensor indicative of a contradiction response after displaying the natural language text sentence on the display screen.

  • Patent number: 10796246
Abstract: A Brain-Mobile Interface (BMoI) system is provided. A control circuit is configured to execute a predictive model to generate a defined number of predicted signal features in future time based on a number of signal features extracted from a first type sensory data (e.g., electroencephalogram (EEG) data). A predicted future mental state(s) can thus be generated based on the number of predicted signal features and used to trigger a corresponding action(s) in a BMoI application(s). In a non-limiting example, a second type sensory data (e.g., electrocardiogram (ECG) data) can be used to improve accuracy of the predictive model. By using the predicted signal features to generate the predicted future mental state(s) to control the BMoI application(s), it is possible to duty-cycle the BMoI system to help reduce power consumption and processing latency, thus allowing the BMoI application(s) to operate in real-time with improved accuracy and power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20200151634
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to scheduling service provider and service consumer interactions based on determining service consumer scores, service provider scores, and service time slot scores predicting outcomes for provider service to a consumer in a time slot, and automatically adapting demand and supply matched as functions of the scores. In an illustrative example, the service consumer may be a client. The service provider may be, for example, a professional offering service in an available time slot. In some examples, individual client, provider, and time slot scores may be calculated as functions of predictive variables associated with a client population and the provider practice environment. In some embodiments, scores may be probability estimates of show, no-show, delay, or cancellation.

  • Patent number: 10623373
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to provide a distributed firewall in a network are disclosed. An example method includes identifying, at a control plane, a network traffic rule to implement in a network, and determining a first firewall of a distributed firewall in the network to enforce the network traffic rule. Example methods also configure a first software-defined network node to route network traffic to the first firewall. The first firewall is instantiated by a first firewall instance at a second software-defined network node and by a second firewall instance at a third software-defined network node. In response to determining at least some of the network traffic forwarded by the first software-defined network node to the second and third software-defined network nodes is being dropped at the first and second firewall instances, example methods also cause the first software-defined network node to implement a third firewall instance.

  • Publication number: 20200108203
Abstract: Methods and systems for utilizing co-simulation of a physical model and a self-adaptive predictive controller using hybrid automata are described. For example, there is disclosed a self-adaptive predictive control system to generate an initial patient model with initial patient model settings (k1, k2, . . . , kn) and execute a program that takes as input, the initial patient model settings as configuration parameters that specify at least a plurality of initial states. Such a system further receives new patient inputs and generates hybrid automata as a variation of the initial states by applying the new patient inputs to the initial patient model. The system further derives reachable states from the hybrid automata and outputs all reachable states computed. The system further detects changes and responsively generates a new patient predictive model with new parameter settings (k?1, k?2, . . . , k?n), iteratively repeating until a termination criterion is satisfied. Other related embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10575788
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for sensing and recovery of a biological signal using generative-model-based compressive sensing. A transformation is applied to sparsify the quasi-periodic signal removing morphology parameters and leaving temporal parameters. The sparsified signal is sampled and the sampled signal data is transmitted to a base station. A homotopy recovery algorithm is applied to the received sampled signal data by the base station to recover the temporal parameters of the biological signal. Generative modelling is applied using previously captured morphology parameters to generate a reconstructed signal. Finally, the reconstructed signal is adjusted and scaled based on the recovered temporal parameters to provide a reconstructed signal that is diagnostically equivalent to the original biological signal.

  • Patent number: 10362103
Abstract: The present disclosure envisages a system for evaluating the feasibility of introducing a new node in a blockchain infrastructure. The blockchain dimension queries and the transaction dimension queries are presented to a user. The user provides responses to the blockchain dimension queries and transaction dimension queries. A feature detector module detects features from the blockchain dimension responses and the transaction dimension responses. A feature value assignor assigns feature values to the detected features. A criticality assignor assigns criticality scores to the detected features. A weightage assignor assigns weightage scores to the blockchain dimension queries and the transaction dimension queries. The feasibility evaluator receives the feature values, the criticality scores, and the weightage scores, and calculates a feasibility score, thereby evaluating the feasibility of introducing the new node.
