  • Publication number: 20240340276
Abstract: A facility for securely accessing a backend resource from a mobile app is described. In a hidden webview of the mobile app, the facility (1) sends a first request with respect to a remote backend resource on behalf of a user for whom a distinguished user account was established with a backend service; the sending is performed in such a way that active SSO session state information stored in the hidden webview of the mobile app is attached to the first request; and (2) receives in response to the first request a first response acknowledging user signin at the backend resource.

  • Patent number: 12111739
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for use of reserved storage capacity at a cloud provider network extension, sometimes referred to as a provider substrate extension (“PSE”) or “outpost”, as a data cache, thereby improving performance of the PSE. The reserved storage capacity may be reserved for a primary purpose, such as data replication in the event of failure of an in-use portion of the PSE's storage capacity. During non-failover operation, the reserved storage capacity may be otherwise unused. Embodiments of the present disclosure enable the reserved storage capacity, when not used for its primary purpose, to be used as a data cache to store information potentially used at the PSE.

  • Patent number: 12093355
Abstract: A system for secure data transfer in a virtual environment receives a request to initiate a virtual interaction session between an avatar and an entity within the virtual environment. The avatar is operated by a user using a user device. The system presents a virtual data reader to the avatar. The virtual data reader comprises a screen to display data. The system receives user input from the user device. The user input includes user information and data object to be transferred to the entity. The user input is transferred from the user input to the virtual data reader. The system receives a security token from the avatar. The system verifies that the user input belongs to the user. The system also determines that the security token is valid. In response, the system transfers the data object to the entity and concludes the virtual interaction session.

  • Publication number: 20240303152
Abstract: A central system coupled to a subsystem receives a fault indication associated with a fault in one or more circuits of the subsystem from a local fault collection and control (FCCS) of the subsystem when a software recovery of the fault fails. Based on the received fault indication, the local FCCS and a central FCCS of a central system is masked from additional fault indications from the one or more circuits. The central system then signals the reset of the one or more circuits of the subsystem after the masking of the additional fault indications, wherein the one or more circuits is reset based on the signaling and the additional faults are masked from one or more of the local FCCS and central FCCS during the reset.

  • Publication number: 20240296086
Abstract: An intelligent feature controller is provided. The intelligent feature controller identifies failures to various features within a network. The intelligent feature controller identifies features that are dependent on the failed features within the network. The intelligent feature controller turns off the features that are dependent on the failed features within the network. As such, the network may continue operating with certain features being turned off. This limits the failures within the network to the affected features, instead of entire systems failing because of a failed feature.

  • Publication number: 20240296178
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses include receiving input from a client device providing a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with a profile and a profile interface. Attribute data is extracted from the profile in response to receiving the input. An identifier is determined for the profile based on the attribute data. A set of attributes of the attribute data is mapped to a set of prompt inputs based on the identifier. A prompt is created using the set of prompt inputs. A generative language model is applied to the prompt. A suggestion for adding content to the profile is output by the generative language model based on the prompt. The suggestion is sent to the client device for presentation via the profile interface.

  • Patent number: 12081389
Abstract: Provided is a system for facilitating recovery of deleted computing resources in a cloud network environment. A centralized resource recovery service may communicate with a plurality of resource management services that are each configured to create, modify, or delete their respective computing resources such as storage volumes, databases, and compute instances. The resource recovery service may allow configuration of resource group policies such that deletion of grouped resources can be managed more effectively and efficiently. For example, in the event that a deleted resources matches multiple resource retention rules, the resource retention rule that encompasses multiple resource types may be used to place the deleted resource in a recoverable state so that resources of such multiple resource types can be managed according to the same resource retention.

  • Publication number: 20240290182
Abstract: An ATM includes a long range WAN module that provides the ATM with a low power WAN (LPWAN) capability for increased resiliency. The ATM and bank application servers generally communicate over an ATM communications network to allow customers to perform banking transactions. When this connection is not functioning, the ATM may continue to be used to perform banking transactions, without interruption, by communicating over a LoRaWAN network with another nearby LPWAN-enabled ATM that is in communication with the bank application servers. The LoRaWAN network may also be used to automatically obtain software to fix an error at the ATM when the software is obtainable via a nearby LPWAN-enabled ATM. The LoRaWAN module may be further used to record a state of operations at the ATM and to use the record to resume the transaction where the transaction was interrupted while in progress due to an ATM outage.

  • Patent number: 12073376
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to light-weight and secure payment processing using low-power wide-area network technology. A mobile device may detect communication conditions associated with a payment transaction based on one or more parameters. The mobile device may identify applicability of LPWAN communication based on the communication conditions. Based on identifying the applicability of low-power wide-area network communication, the mobile device may identify a payment terminal within a threshold proximity of the mobile device. The mobile device may connect to the payment terminal via a low-power wide-area network protocol. The mobile device may transmit, via the low-power wide-area network protocol, a request to initiate the payment transaction at the payment terminal. The mobile device may cause the payment transaction to be executed using the low-power wide-area network protocol.

  • Patent number: 12073393
Abstract: A cryptographic scheme associated with a transaction service is received at a first computer system. Subsequent to receiving the cryptographic schema, the first computer system performs a configuration process for a transaction to be performed with the transaction service. The configuration process includes receiving a request for transaction configuration information from a client device. The request includes a cryptographic token generated by a second computer system the transaction service. The first computer system determines whether to grant the request based on analyzing the cryptographic token according to the cryptographic schema. Based on the determining, the first computer system sends transaction configuration information. The configuration process is performed by first computer system independent of communication between the second computer system and the first computer system.
