Abstract: Disclosed is a system for providing a deferred service, the system including a Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) agent for requesting the deferred service according to a requirement of a client; and a SUPL Location Platform (SLP) for checking for allowance or denial of an event report for an event when the event occurs during the deferred service according to the request. In the system, allowance or denial of a user for a deferred service is reflected during the deferred service, and as a result, it is possible to prevent the violation of a user's privacy.

Abstract: Disclosed is a push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) service that transmits information on a group talk in a wireless connection section for operation in a mobile environment with a low traffic burden and higher efficiency. The PoC service transmits a PoC call request message of an originating PoC client to a terminating PoC server, receives a response message to the PoC call request message from a terminating PoC client, and receives a message including information of the terminating PoC client transmitting the response message, from an originating PoC server.

Abstract: Provided is a method and system for granting the floor in a PoC network, in which, when a PoC server makes a request to establish a PoC session according to preset information of a PoC client wishing to make a PoC call rather than a session invitation request of the PoC client, an INVITE message is sent to the PoC client, including content related to grant of the session's initial talk turn, thereby lessening the signaling burden of a talk burst control protocol message. The method includes sending an INVITE message to a terminating PoC client when it is determined that session initiation requirements are met, and sending the INVITE message to an originating PoC client when a response signal to the INVITE message is received from the terminating PoC client.

Abstract: A method provides information of a client making a first response to a network-initiated push-to-talk-over-cellular (PoC) group session when the network-initiated PoC group session is established. When it is determined that an event meeting session establishment criteria occurs at a server managing a session, the session management server sends an INVITE message to at least one client to participate in the session to be established. A response signal to the INVITE message is received from the at least one client. A message containing information of the client making the first response is sent to the client making a request to establish the session. Thus, a user is informed of identification information of an initial caller and information of a requested conference, thereby enabling a PoC group call to be smoothly performed.

Abstract: A method and system for deleting a floor in a PoC system is provided, in which a session management server has a function to reset a floor management list, namely to cancel all reserved floors at once, and when an arbitrary PoC user makes a request to reset the floor, the floor is reset according to whether authentication is made the system includes a PoC client attempting to make a request to delete a reserved floor, and a session management server receiving the floor deletion request message from the PoC client and deleting the reserved floor. The method includes making, by a PoC client belonging to an arbitrary group, a request to delete a floor reserved in a floor management list to a session management server, and deleting, by the session management server, the reserved floor when receiving the floor deletion request message from the PoC client.

Abstract: A method and system for guaranteeing a seamless session when replacing a PoC terminal in a PoC system is provided, in which a currently busy PoC client can be replaced in an existing busy PoC session using a PoC compliant client capable of connecting the PoC session, thereby preventing a transmitted media stream of the running PoC session from being lost when the PoC client is replaced. The method includes transmitting, by an arbitrary PoC user, a message for replacing a terminal from a user terminal to a session management server while maintaining the session; receiving, by the session management server, the replacement request message, and transmitting an INVITE message to a terminal to be replaced, or a target terminal; and receiving, by the target terminal, the INVITE message, and media through an existing session. In a situation where there is a need to replace the PoC terminal according to change of the media for the PoC call, request of mobility, etc.

Abstract: Provided is a method and system for establishing a network-initiated PoC group session, capable of initiating establishment of a PoC session at a point of time when presence information of an opposite party intending to make a call is transited from a state in which a call can not be made to a state in which the call can be made, or at a time which a user designates in advance. The system includes at least one client that intends to initiate a session, and at least one opposite client; and a session management server for managing the session between clients belonging to an arbitrary group including the clients, determining whether an event, which meets requirements capable of initiating the session, occurs, and directly initiating the session without request of the clients when the event occurs.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling a talk time for a PoC user is provided, capable of freely extending and using the talk time according to whether there is a floor requester or a priority when a talker obtains a floor during PoC communication. The method includes determining whether a talk limit time of a PoC client that is transferring a talk burst is close at hand; when the talk time limit is close at hand, determining whether or not a floor requester who makes a request for a floor is in a floor list for storing the floor requester; and when the floor requester is not in the floor list, extending the talk time and transferring the talk burst.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for establishing a session for a Push to Talk (PTT) over Cellular call (PoC). In the method, when an answer (response) mode of a PoC server and a PoC client are not in accordance with each other, an error message is transmitted to the receiving PoC server Moreover, call processing for a PoC call is improved by inserting a new data field indicating an automatic answer of a server into a payload of a Real-time Transport Protocol (RTCP) message, and a function of the terminal is extended using an added data field when the answer modes of the corresponding PoC server and PoC client are not in accordance with each other.

Abstract: A call processing system and method based on an answer mode of a Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) user are provided. A data format is defined, which inserts an indicator indicating a manual answer override into a payload of a Real-time Transport Control Protocol (RTCP) in a format of a new data field. When a PoC communication requester instructs the MAO to perform PoC communication regardless of an answer mode of a reception side PoC user, an auto-answer mode is immediately executed without any procedure of checking the instruction. In addition, when the reception side PoC user establishes an early session with a home PoC server in its own PoC terminal, the call processing can be performed at a quicker speed.

Abstract: The system includes a push to talk over cellular (PoC) client for requesting storage of media data of a sub-participation session among the simultaneous sessions, a storage part for storing the media data of the sub-participation session, and a push to talk over cellular (PoC) server for transmitting the media data of the sub-participation session stored in the storage part to the push to talk over cellular client according to a read out request of the push to talk over cellular client.

Abstract: A method for performing session merging between PoC sessions under the environment of multiple PoC sessions is provided. A merging PoC client sends a request for the session merging with a merged session to a PoC server managing a merging session to which the PoC client belongs. The PoC server managing the merging session sends a session merge request to a PoC server managing the merged session. Negotiation of a CF (Controlling PoC Function) for managing a session to be merged is performed between the PoC server of the merging session and the PoC server of the merged session. When an entire CF of the session to be merged is selected as the negotiation between the PoC servers is completed, the PoC server of the merged session sends an UPDATE message of modified media parameters to a PoC client of the merged session.

Abstract: A push to talk (PTT) system. Where when there is a call connection request to any terminal in a PTT system with a pre-established session, a query message is transmitted to a PTT terminal receiving the call connection request in order to determine to accept a call request, and a determination is made as to whether to connect the call based on a response message, this preventing a waste of resources and time due to unnecessary session establishment.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for selecting a location platform for a user equipment to roam and a method for determining the location of the user equipment using the same. The method for selecting a location platform includes: checking a visiting network of the UE in response to a location request message transmitted from the UE which is roaming; and selecting a location platform to calculate a location of the UE by comparing positioning capability information of the checked visiting network and positioning capability information of a home network of the UE. According to such a method, it is possible to efficiently perform the positioning of the UE, regardless of the location of the UE, thereby improving the quality of the positioning service.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for monitoring a multisession including one-to-one calls and group calls at a same time in a wireless communication system performing group communication. The apparatus includes an intermediate unit, a control unit and a text conversion unit. The intermediate unit receives a request message for a monitoring set up from a user terminal, manages sessions correlating with each user, and intermediates a voice message received from each of the correlating sessions. The control unit confirms a session and a set session monitoring method of the voice message received from each of the correlating sessions, and transmits the received voice message according to a result of the confirming. The text conversion unit converts the voice message into a text form, when the voice message is in an inactive session and the session monitoring method is set to use text.

Abstract: A positioning apparatus and method of a mobile terminal using a positioning server independently constructed on a network. The positioning apparatus includes a positioning server, independently constructed on a network, for collecting and storing/managing assistant data that includes orbit information and correction information of a satellite, and providing the assistant data or position information using the assistant data in response to an external request. The positioning server provides the position information of the terminal subject to positioning in response to the request for the position information of the terminal subject to positioning created from at least one network among a plurality of networks that share the positioning server. Accordingly, an accurate positioning result can be obtained with a cost for implementation of the positioning system reduced.

Abstract: Provided is a method for generating a preamble sequence group. The method includes creating a preamble sequence, calculating a cross-correlation value between sequences using the created preamble sequence, determining a limit cross-correlation value using the cross-correlation value to construct a preamble set used in the communication system, calculating a preamble set that satisfies the determined limit cross-correlation value, and terminating construction of the preamble set.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for locating mobile terminals is disclosed. A base station transmits a radio signal to mobile terminals located in a specific area, and generates- auxiliary location information for locating mobile terminals from a radio signal received from the terminals. A radio network controller receives the auxiliary location information of the terminals from the base station, and calculates locations of the terminals using the auxiliary location information. A cell broadcaster broadcasts information including assisted GPS information and an auxiliary location information request signal to the terminals located in the area. A core network manages information of mobile terminals connected to a network, and provides an interface with a location service client. This allows location of all of the terminals located in the specific area, irrespective of whether the provision of their location information is permitted, which facilitates rescue when a disaster or calamity occurs in the specific area.
