  • Publication number: 20100183556
Abstract: Disclosed is an expression vector system for variants of coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) and von Willebrand factor (vWF). In detail, mutant vWF the size of which is significantly reduced by deleting exons but which has remarkably increased FVIII stabilizing and activating efficiency, and an expression vector system useful for the treatment of hemophilia which is capable of expressing the same along with FVIII are disclosed. Use of the mutant vWF with a reduced size enables effective expression of FVIII in a viral vector and significantly enhanced FVIII activity. Further, the viral vector may be effectively used to treat hemophilia through gene therapy.

  • Patent number: 6692680
Abstract: Methods of rapidly prototyping microstructures such as HARMs are disclosed. A high precision process uses polymeric microstructure replication techniques and sacrificial layer etching techniques to mass produce high aspect ratio metallic and polymer micromold inserts. In one embodiment, after fabrication of an initial micromold insert, high aspect ratio replications are created by casting replication material, such as PDMS, directly onto the initial micromold insert. The replicated HARM is coated with a sacrificial layer and then electroplated to replicate another set of micromold inserts. After the electroplating process is completed, the sacrificial layer is etched away to release the replicated micromold inserts.

  • Patent number: 5860870
Abstract: A golf ball supply system which is capable of reducing its failure, increasing its lifetime and performing an accurate operation by improving the switch for sensing the rotating angle of the operation handle of the system and the circuit of the system. The golf ball supply system contains an operating handle which is operated by a selective adjusting angle of a rotating angle control switch, a rotating angle sensing switch and an initial position switch which are composed of lead switches and are respectively installed in predetermined angular positions. A permanent magnetic piece is attached to the rear end of the operation handle so that an IC circuit receives and sorts an ON/OFF signal from the lead switches and the pedal switch and transfers the signal to respective timers. The timers receive the signals from the IC circuit and operate the solenoid through a first switch IC and further receive the signals from the IC circuit and operate the static motor through a second switch IC.
