    Abstract: A load control system may be commissioned using beacons. The load control system may include control devices that each include a beacon transmitting circuit configured to transmit a beacon that comprises an identifier associated with the control device. A network device, such as a mobile device, may discover a control device based on the beacon received from the control device. In response to discovery of the control device, the control device may be added to a temporary group of control devices for being collectively configured and/or controlled. Control devices may be discovered based on the signal strength at which the beacons are received. The control devices may provide feedback to a user in response to confirmation messages to indicate to a user that the lighting control device has been added to the temporary group. The control devices may stop providing the feedback after they are removed from the temporary group.

    Abstract: Certain edge networking devices such as application gateways may report status to a cloud-based threat management platform using a persistent network connection between the gateway and the cloud platform. Where a cloud computing platform for an edge networking device or the treat management platform imposes periodic timeouts, the threat management platform may monitor connects and disconnects for edge devices and asynchronously evaluate connection status of edge devices independently of a heartbeat or other signal through the persistent connection in order to distinguish periodic timeouts imposed by the cloud computing platform from networking devices that are compromised or malfunctioning.

    Abstract: Circuits, systems, and methods are described herein for generating a boost voltage for a write operation of a memory cell. In one embodiment, a boost circuit includes a first inverter and a second inverter, each configured to invert a write signal. The boost circuit also includes a transistor and a capacitor. The transistor is coupled to an output of the first inverter. The transistor is configured to charge a capacitor based on the write signal and provide a supply voltage to a write driver. The capacitor is coupled to an output of the second inverter. The capacitor is configured to generate and provide a delta voltage to the write driver.

    Abstract: A client device is tracked over a period of time using “refresh tokens” that are exchanged in conjunction with routine client-server communications. Each communication cycle between client and server includes a refresh token that is recorded at the server. The recorded refresh tokens are mapped to both server- and client-generated device identifiers. As communications between client and server occur, a chain of tokens, one for each communication cycle, is progressively recorded at the server. If the server receives a token that is outdated with respect to that which is otherwise expected based on the progression of the recorded chain, this suggests that the received communication was transmitted from a device that is a clone of another client device. A more robust device identification framework is therefore achieved by using a combination of device identifiers and tokens exchanged between client and server.

For example, a client computing device may monitor ambient sound for audio that matches audio sampled from broadcast content. The content server records the tracking information and evaluates whether the matching audio was detected within a geographic area associated with the broadcast content. If so, the content server executes additional actions including transmitting supplemental content to the client computing device and/or updating summary level metrics that indicate receptions of broadcast content within target geographic locations.
