  • Publication number: 20080128472
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a friction stir welding tool which enables friction stir welding of a wide range of materials, from low-melting temperature metallic materials including aluminum to high-melting temperature metallic materials including steel. An entire friction stir welding tool or a tool tip including a pin is made of Mo alloy having a dual phase microstructure of Mo and intermetallic compound Mo5SiB2. It is desirable that the Mo alloy be composed of 6.0 to 10.0 mol % of Si, 10.0 to 20.0 mol % of B, and 20 to 60% of Mo-phase volume content. This Mo alloy tool has excellent high-temperature strength and wear-resistance properties and hardly deform and wear when used for the welding of steel.

  • Publication number: 20080110443
Abstract: An upstream portion of an intake passage is positioned upstream of a supercharger. An intermediate portion is positioned between the supercharger and a throttle valve. A downstream portion is positioned downstream of the throttle valve. A blow-by gas processing apparatus has a first breather passage, a second breather passage, and an introduction passage. The first breather passage connects an interior of the engine with the downstream portion. The second breather passage has a pump that pressure feeds gas from the interior of the engine to the intake passage. The introduction passage connects at least one of the upstream portion and the intermediate portion with the interior of the engine. Accordingly, the interior of the engine is efficiently ventilated.

  • Publication number: 20080083399
Abstract: An intake passage has an upstream portion in an upstream side of a supercharger, an intermediate portion between a supercharger and a throttle valve, and a downstream portion in a downstream side of the throttle valve. A first breather passage connects an interior of an engine with the downstream portion. A second breather passage connects the interior of the engine with the upstream portion. Introduction passages communicate the upstream portion with the interior of the engine at a non-supercharging time, and connect at least one of the intermediate portion and the downstream portion with the interior of the engine at a supercharging time. Thus, the interior of the engine is efficiently ventilated.

  • Patent number: 7277075
Abstract: In an RGBW-type liquid crystal display device, luminance is improved by the addition of W sub-pixels while an image is displayed without any change in chromaticity of halftones. Digital corrected values of red, green and blue are obtained by adding a predetermined digital value for driving a W sub-pixel to each of RGB digital values which correspond respectively to pixels of an acquired image. A converting calculation is effected on the digital corrected values such that the ratio of these digital corrected values for red, green and blue is made equal to the ratio of the red, green and blue digital values corresponding to the pixels of said acquired image. The RGBW sub-pixels are driven with the converted values and the predetermined digital value of driving W sub-pixel to thereby display an image.

  • Publication number: 20070181637
Abstract: A problem of FSW spot-welding is that a bonding strength tends to be low, since an area of metallic bonding is limited to the neighborhood of a pin portion of the welding tool. In order to solve the problem, after a tool (1) is inserted into a member (4) to be welded, a rotation shaft of the welding tool is tilted around a predetermined point (13) as a fulcrum, and the tip portion of the welding tool (1) is swung to enlarge a plastic flow area caused by rotation of the tool. As a result, the welding strength can be increased.

  • Publication number: 20070181649
Abstract: The invention provides a friction stir welding method of forming a weld portion having an excellent fatigue property in the case of welding a weld material by using a friction stir welding method. The invention provides a friction stir welding method structured such as to insert a tool provided in such a manner that a pin-shaped probe protrudes to an end surface of a columnar member to a weld material in a state of being rotated, and move the tool in a state of being rotated, thereby welding two or more weld materials in accordance with a friction stirring, in which a cavity portion is provided in a part of a weld portion of the weld material, a member is formed in the cavity portion, and the weld material is welded by the friction stirring. In accordance with the invention, since an unwelded portion is not formed near the cavity portion, a notch effect is reduced, and it is possible to form the weld member which is excellent in the fatigue property.

  • Patent number: 7236206
Abstract: A video signal interpolation can adapt an image of input video signal to voluntary aspect ratios widely. The invention also allows a display device to uniformly line-sequential scan and uses at least two line-memories (LM1, LM2) which are applied with an input digital video signal and controls writing and reading for these line-memories to generate a video signal subjected to vertical interpolation from a reading output of the line-memories. In the control, any one of the line-memories are circularly selected, and a sample sequence of the input digital video signal is sequentially written into the selected line-memory at its sample rate while sequentially reading out samples of the written sequence at a constant rate which is higher than the sample rate and which is according to a desired ratio of interpolation (vertical expansion ratio), wherein, when one of the line-memories is in writing operation, the other one of the line-memories is repeatedly read out.

Abstract: A friction stirring-welding method capable of increasing the welding strength of a lap joint. A welding tool (1) comprises a small diameter projected part (2) at the tip of a shoulder (3). The welding tool is press-fitted to the upper plate (4) of the lap joint while being rotated. By a friction stirring action, an upper plate side welding boundary surface (6) plastically flows, a surface oxidation film on a lapped surface is peeled off, and the boundary surface is activated to provide an excellent welding part. Also, since the welding tool is formed in a shape having the small diameter semispherical projected part (2) at the tip thereof, the thickness (12) of an upper plate welding part is increased, and a lap joint part with high welding strength can be provided.

  • Patent number: 6877549
Abstract: A heat storage device comprises a heat storage tank 2 charged with a heat storage material 1 for storing the heat supplied from the outside, and a heat exchanger 3 for executing an injection and an extraction of heat between the inside of the storage tank 2 and the outside by the heat exchange between the heat storage material and a heat transfer medium. The heat exchanger 3 is disposed so as to execute a heat exchange between the central portion 2a in the heat storage tank 2 and the outside, and suppresses the natural convection of the heat storage material 1 of the outer portion 2b by, for example, dispersing a liquid-absorbent material 5 in the outer portion 2b surrounding the central portion in the heat storage tank 2, whereby reduces the influence of external environment on the central portion 2a in the heat storage tank, thereby suppressing the heat loss toward the outside.
