  • Patent number: 10560432
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for centralized management of remote endpoint devices are disclosed. Instances of agent software are installed on endpoint devices that are external to a multi-tenant provider network. The agent software is communicatively coupled to a centralized management service of the multi-tenant provider network. A software package is selected from a marketplace service of the multi-tenant provider network. The marketplace service comprises product offerings for a plurality of software packages. The centralized management service sends information indicative of a configuration associated with the software package to the agent software of one or more of the endpoint devices that are associated with the software package. The centralized management service receives, from the agent software, an indication that the configuration has been deployed on the one or more of the endpoint devices.

  • Patent number: 9940039
Abstract: A data retention operation is performed in a non-volatile memory in response to detection of a triggering event. The data retention operation includes updating a value of a write parameter of the non-volatile memory and storing into the non-volatile memory at least one copy of contents of a boot portion of the non-volatile memory using the updated value of the write parameter. The updated value of the write parameter increases retention of stored data during extended periods of inactivity at the non-volatile memory.

  • Publication number: 20180034270
Abstract: A power switch includes a bridge-connected switching circuit with (1) a pair of MOSFETs back-to-back in series between line and load connections, an interconnection point of the MOSFETs being a first common connection, and (2) a pair of diodes back-to-back between the line and load connections, an interconnection point of the diodes being a second common connection. A line/load controller has supply inputs connected to the first and second common connections for receiving operating power, and (1) places both MOSFETs in the ON state to deliver normal operating current to the load for normal operation, and (2) places both MOSFETs in the OFF state to deliver (by body diode conduction) a substantially reduced leakage current to the load when the load is not powered for normal operation, the leakage current providing the operating power to the line/load controller.

  • Patent number: 9828038
Abstract: A road debris system and apparatus for use with a car or vehicle transport trailer. Embodiments include a transport trailer coupled to a truck. A plurality of resistive mounting brackets are attached to the truck. Embodiments also include a plurality of cantilever rods, a first end of each of the cantilever rods attached to one of the plurality of mounting brackets. The second end of each of the plurality of cantilever rods extend away from the respective mounting bracket. A debris guard is coupled to the plurality of cantilever rods such that an edge of the debris guard distal from the mounting bracket may articulate up and down, and such that an end of the debris guard adjacent a front of the transport trailer may articulate up and down. The debris guard is dimensioned to fill a gap between a back end of the truck and the front of the transport trailer.

  • Patent number: 9124101
Abstract: A power supply includes signaling circuitry coupled to output terminals for engaging in bidirectional communications with a load. A controller is capable of conducting the bidirectional communications and selecting among different operating modes for the power supply based on the communications. The modes may include a constant-current mode suitable for applications such as battery charging and power LED lamps, and a constant-voltage mode suitable for a variety of conventional uses such as powering electronic circuitry. The signaling circuitry may include a power switching transistor in series with the load, which is pulsed in a binary fashion to transmit communications to the load. A signal-forming resistor in parallel with the power switching transistor develops a signaling voltage monitored by the controller to receive communications from the load.

  • Patent number: 8990500
Abstract: In an embodiment, an indicator is set to indicate that all of a plurality of most significant bytes of characters in a character array are zero. A first index and an input character are received. The input character comprises a first most significant byte and a first least significant byte. The first most significant byte is stored at a first storage location and the first least significant byte is stored at a second storage location, wherein the first storage location and the second storage location have non-contiguous addresses. If the first most significant byte does not equal zero, the indicator is set to indicate that at least one of a plurality of most significant bytes of the characters in the character array is non-zero. The character array comprises the first most significant byte and the first least significant byte.
