  • Publication number: 20120082614
Abstract: There is provided a fabrication method for an AA stacked graphene-diamond hybrid material by converting, through a high temperature treatment on diamond, a diamond surface into graphene. According to the present invention, if various types of diamond are maintained at a certain temperature having a stable graphene phase (approximately greater than 1200° C.) in a hydrogen gas atmosphere, two diamond {111} lattice planes are converted into one graphene plate (2:1 conversion), whereby the diamond surface is converted into graphene in a certain thickness, thus to fabricate the AA stacked graphene-diamond hybrid material.

  • Patent number: 7826529
Abstract: An H.263/MPEG video encoder using DCT in a mobile communication terminal. The H.263/MPEG video encoder controls a quantization value using granularity analysis by motion estimation and efficiently controls bit rates. The H.263/MPEG video encoder performs DCT for an input image (N?1), quantizes the input image to output the input image as a video stream, decodes the quantized signal by means of inverse quantization (IQ) and inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT), and performs motion estimation in comparison with a next input image (N). The H.263/MPEG video encoder includes a granularity analyzing section for analyzing granularity using a result of performing the motion estimation, a granularity control section for controlling a quantization value for the quantization according to an analysis result of the granularity analyzing section, and a frame rate control section for controlling a frame speed of an output of the video stream.

  • Patent number: 7729552
Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving qualities of motion and still images to be output in a mobile communication terminal. An error-reflected-value table is provided to reduce a computation amount while applying an error diffusion process. The table includes quantization-error-reflected values pre-computed according to maximum values of quantization errors and error-reflected ratios of neighboring pixels. When quantization errors of a specific pixel of an original image selected in a process procedure are computed, error-reflected values of neighboring pixels are determined. Pixel-by-pixel error values are stored by accumulating error-reflected values related to pixels. When error-reflected values of neighboring pixels around all the pixels of the original mage are completely computed, an image in which quantization errors are diffused is generated when the error-reflected values are added on a pixel-by-pixel basis.

  • Publication number: 20100028573
Abstract: Disclosed is AA? graphite with a new stacking feature of graphene, and a fabrication method thereof. Graphene is stacked in the sequence of AA? where alternate graphene layers exhibiting the AA? stacking are translated by a half hexagon (1.23 ?). AA? graphite has an interplanar spacing of about 3.44 ? larger than that of the conventional AB stacked graphite (3.35 ?) that has been known as the only crystal of pure graphite. This may allow the AA? stacked graphite to have unique physical and chemical characteristics.
