  • Publication number: 20180249349
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to enhancing data communication performance in a wireless communication network including a first subscription associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second subscription associated with a second RAT, where the wireless communication device uses a same radio frequency (RF) resource to communicate over both the first RAT and the second RAT. The first RAT is used, in part, for data operations while the second RAT is used, in part, for voice operations. During idle state voice operations, the RF resource is reallocated from performing data operations to performing idle state voice operations, causing interruptions in the data operations. The wireless communication device adjusts at least one or a duration and an occurrence of the idle state voice operations to reduce the impact on the data operations.

  • Patent number: 10062768
Abstract: Field-Effect Transistor (FET) devices employing an adjacent asymmetric active gate/dummy gate width layout are disclosed. In an exemplary aspect, a FET cell is provided that includes a FET device having an active gate, a source region, and a drain region. The FET cell also includes an isolation structure comprising a dummy gate over a diffusion break located adjacent to one of the source region and the drain region. The FET cell has an asymmetric active gate/dummy gate width layout in that a width of the active gate is larger than a width of the adjacent dummy gate. The increased width of the active gate provides increased gate control and the decreased width of the dummy gate increases isolation from the dummy gate, thus reducing sub-threshold leakage through the dummy gate.

  • Publication number: 20180236541
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are directed to the use of nanoparticles for improving fabrication of three-dimensional objects formed through layer-by-layer delivery of an ink onto a powder of metal particles in a powder bed. More specifically, local densities of the powder of each layer may be determined and used as a basis for selectively distributing the ink including nanoparticles to increase density of one or more portions of the respective layer as compared to density of the respective portion of the layer prior to the selective distribution of the ink. Thus, the selective distribution of the ink including the nanoparticles may reduce density variations in each layer of three-dimensional objects being fabricated. In turn, such a reduction in density variation associated with the fabrication of three-dimensional objects may reduce the likelihood of defects (e.g., through unintended variations in shrinkage rates) associated with subsequent processing of the three-dimensional objects.

  • Patent number: 10050448
Abstract: Power rail control systems that include power multiplexing circuits that include cross-current conduction protection are disclosed. Power multiplexing circuit includes supply selection circuits each coupled between a respective supply power rail and an output power rail coupled to a powered circuit. To maintain power to the powered circuit during switching coupling of the output power rail, but while also avoiding current cross-conduction path between supply power rails, diode drop control circuits are provided in supply selection circuits. In diode drop operation mode, the diode drop control circuit associated with a higher voltage supply power rail is configured to regulate voltage supplied by such supply power rail to the output power rail to power the powered circuit. A current cross-conduction path is not created, because diode drop control circuits associated with lower voltage supply power rails are reverse biased to prevent current from flowing through their associated supply selection circuits.

  • Publication number: 20180198764
Abstract: The method provides a multi system trust chain between a client system and a remote system in a secure connection, wherein an intermediary system associated with the network flow path serves as a signing entity to establish an end to end transitive trust. The intermediate system is a corroborative entity in the operations technology (OT) realm of the client system. The remote system serves as the host for a plurality of services in the information technology (IT) realm. A two way handshake during the initial secure exchange protocol between a local client application and a remote service is extended to a three way handshake that includes a nonce issued by the remote service on the remote system and a digital signature for the nonce issued by a signature service on an associated intermediate system. The nonce signature is verified authoritatively at the remote system based on the signing certificate of the intermediate system for explicit proof of association.

  • Patent number: 10020983
Abstract: A fault isolation system asynchronously builds a fault domain graph to identify fault domains to isolate a root cause of a problem in a computer network. Basically, when the fault isolation system receives a notification that an entity of the network is unreachable (i.e., in a down status), the fault isolation system requests neighbor lists and statuses for the neighbors to asynchronously build a fault domain graph. From that topology, the fault isolation system determines a root cause of the problem with the network.
