  • Patent number: 6513917
Abstract: A silicon single crystal substrate is formed with a plurality of channels that are partitioned by a plurality of partition walls and that are arranged at a pitch of 40 &mgr;m or less, for example. A filler material is then introduced into the channels to a height that matches the upper edges of the partition walls. After the filler material is hardened by heating a cover film is deposited to a thickness of 5 &mgr;m or less on the upper surface of the filler material and on the upper edges of the partition walls. As a result, the cover film has the same, flat shape as the upper surface of the filler material and the upper edges of the partition walls. Next, the filler material is removed so that the cover film remains covering the channels. Next, electrodes are formed on the cover film.

The rail member (11) has a pair of opposing guide rail portions (11b) longitudinally disposed opposing each other at a predetermined distance. The sliding part (12) has a holding portion (12a), on both its sides, which hold edges of the opposing guide rail portions (11b). The sliding part (12) is longitudinally slidable on the guide rail portions (11b). A wire harness (14), extending from a vehicle body, is wired from a vehicle body provided with the rail member (11) to a sliding door provided with the sliding part (12). A felt material (13) is installed on an inner surface (12b) of each of the holding portions (12a) of the sliding part (12) in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the rail member (11). • Publication number: 20020154765
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal comprises a first case and a second case. Electronic components to be contained in the upper and lower cases are fixed to the lower case by means of an inner case. The upper and lower cases are coupled by engagement of claw portions. The inner case and the upper case are firmly coupled by a screw engagement structure, which ensures less easily releasable engagement than the engagement by claw portions. Thereby, even in the state in which the upper case is removed, internal components in the terminal can be protected as surely as possible.

  • Publication number: 20020089558
Abstract: An ink-jet head controller generates drive waveforms selectively at predetermined print cycles to cause ink ejection from a cavity. A waveform generator generates a plurality of waveform signals, including a waveform signal extending over two adjacent print cycles, and a waveform selector selects and outputs to the ink-jet head one of a plurality of waveform signals, based on whether dot data for two adjacent print cycles indicates ink ejection. The waveform selector selects a waveform signal extending over two adjacent print cycles when dot data for a current print cycle indicates ink ejection while dot data for a next print cycle indicates no ink ejection. In addition, a plurality of drive pulses cause ejection of a plurality of ink droplets to form a dot outputted after a certain delay from the start of the current print cycle.

  • Publication number: 20020078758
Abstract: A pressure sensitive sensor is provided that includes a net braid member formed by knitting a plurality of insulating yarn strands, such as an aramid fiber, interposed between an elastic electroconductive tube and a central electrode member. The elastic electroconductive tube and the central electrode member are brought into electrical contact with each other through the gap portion of the mesh of the net braid member at a pressure point, and pressure is detected. The central electrode member is formed by winding an electroconductive metal wire in a coil on the outer peripheral surface of a central member formed by coating an elastic insulating material on a central reinforcing member formed of an aramid fiber. Thus, a pressure sensitive sensor which has a simple construction, can be produced easily and at low cost, is suitable for making a small sensor, and can appropriately function even if the sensor is warped or kinked at a sharp curvature.

  • Publication number: 20020060704
Abstract: A flexible flat cable having a driver integrated circuit (IC) thereon is soldered to a piezoelectric actuator of an ink-jet head. A power source equivalent to a power source that generates a voltage required for ink ejection is connected, thorough a lead wire, to each electrode provided on one side of each piezoelectric element. A negative power source is connected, through another lead wire, to each electrode provided on the other side of each piezoelectric element, that is, on the opposite side from the driver IC. • Patent number: 6371381
Abstract: In a heat generator for a vehicle according to the present invention, an operation chamber defined in the heat generator is composed of a heat generation area (7) which receives therein a rotor, a storage area (8) which contains viscous fluid, and a boundary opening (9) of a relatively large surface area, which connects the two areas. The boundary opening is provided with a pair of transfer openings (35A, 35B) in a point-symmetric arrangement with respect to the rotation axis C of the rotor. Guide portions (41A, 41B), each corresponding to each of the openings, are provided in the storage area. With this structure, since at least one of the transfer openings and the guide portion corresponding thereto are located below the surface level L of the viscous fluid regardless of the attachment angle of the heat generator, the exchange and circulation of the viscous fluid can be carried out between the heat generation area and the storage area, in accordance with the rotation of the rotor.
