    Abstract: A method includes forming a first gate dielectric and a second gate dielectric over a first semiconductor region and a second semiconductor region, respectively, depositing a lanthanum-containing layer including a first portion and a second portion overlapping the first gate dielectric and the second gate dielectric, respectively, and depositing a hard mask including a first portion and a second portion overlapping the first portion and the second portion of the lanthanum-containing layer, respectively. The hard mask is free from both of titanium and tantalum. The method further includes forming a patterned etching mask to cover the first portion of the hard mask, with the second portion of the hard mask being exposed, removing the second portion of the hard mask and the second portion of the lanthanum-containing layer, and performing an anneal to drive lanthanum in the first portion of the lanthanum-containing layer into the first gate dielectric.

The method include: determining, by a first controller in available transit switches in a data center network, available transit switches respectively transiting m groups of data, where one available transit switch is configured to transit at least one group of the data, and a difference between quantities of groups of the data transited by any two available transit switches does not exceed a second threshold; and instructing, by the first controller, a destination network node to send routing information to the source network node, where the routing information includes an identifier of an available transit switch configured to transit a data group transmitted by the source network node to the destination network node. The foregoing solution can balance load of each transit switch in the data center network, improve a bandwidth resource utilization rate, and reduce a transmission delay.

When a capture request is received, a set of rules and/or a decision tree may be used to evaluate one or more capture conditions associated with the images from the incoming image stream and determine which two or more images to select for a fusion operation.     Abstract: Various aspects of a method and a system for image processing are disclosed herein. The method includes processing an input image, which comprises structure information and detail information, using image processing (IP) blocks in an image processing pipeline. One or more of the IP blocks, such as the “lossy” IP blocks, process the input image with at least a partial loss of the detail information. By replacing the “lossy” IP blocks with redesigned image processing (IP) modules, the image processing pipeline reduces or avoids such loss of the detail information. A more efficient implementation of the improved pipeline is realized by using a master IP module when the “lossy” IP blocks are reordered and grouped together in the image processing pipeline. The method is further extended to process 3-D images to reduce or avoid loss of detail information in a 3-D image processing pipeline.

    Abstract: For aligning an image sensor relative to a lens module prior to fixing the image sensor to the lens module, an exposure of the image sensor is turned on and the image sensor is moved to different distances relative to the lens module. At certain predetermined distances between the image sensor and the lens module, a calibration pattern is illuminated and two or more pictures of the calibration pattern which is focused through the lens module are captured with the image sensor to produce at least two pictures of the calibration pattern captured at different distances, the at least two pictures being superimposed onto a calibration image. The exposure of the image sensor is then turned off and the pictures of the calibration pattern are analyzed for determining an alignment between the lens module and the image sensor.
