    Abstract: A shrouded turbine airfoil (10) with a leakage flow conditioner (12) configured to direct leakage flow to be aligned with main hot gas flow is disclosed. The leakage flow conditioner (12) may be positioned on a radially outer surface (18) of an outer shroud base (20) of the outer shroud (22) on a tip (24) of an airfoil (10). The leakage flow conditioner (12) may include a radially outer surface (28) that is positioned further radially inward than the radially outer surface (18) of the outer shroud base (20) creating a radially outward extending wall surface (30) that serves to redirect leakage flow. In at least one embodiment, the radially outward extending wall surface (30) may be aligned with a pressure side (38) of the shrouded turbine airfoil (10) to increase the efficiency of a turbine engine by redirecting leakage flow to be aligned with main hot gas flow to reduce aerodynamic loss upon re-introduction to the main gas flow.

    Abstract: By transmitting a remote controlled device identifier through an optical signal emitted by a remote controlled device to a remote control pointed at the remote controlled device, the remote control is able to address the remote controlled device via a communication network and be paired with the remote controlled device. As the remote control just has to be pointed at the remote controlled device that is to be paired the pairing is intuitive. A verification unit can be added to the remote controlled device that transmits a challenge via the optical signal to the remote control. The remote control creates a response and transmits the response to the remote controlled device for verification by the verification unit. If the verification is successful the pairing is allowed. As the challenge can only be extracted from the optical signal, access to the room in which the remote controlled device is locate dis required in order to gain control over the remote controlled device.

A channel distance value between each channel of a target patch and corresponding channel of one or more neighbor patches of one or more multi-channel images is determined. The determination of the channel distance value is based on channel data in each channel of the one or more multi-channel images. Based on relative signal information in each channel of the target patch, a channel weight for each channel is dynamically determined. Based on the determined channel distance value and the dynamically determined channel weight for each channel, a patch matching score is determined.

The maximum pixel step value corresponds to modified pixel values of the one or more pixels in the region when the maximum pixel step value exceeds a threshold noise level for the region. False color is suppressed in a selected region of the multi-channel image based on the determined score when the false color is identified in the region.
