Patent number: 10254258Abstract: A two-dimensional chromatogram creator creates a two-dimensional chromatogram based on data collected by a comprehensive two-dimensional GC/MS analysis. An extraction condition conformity determiner determines whether or not each MS/MS spectrum obtained through the analysis conforms to a compound extraction condition previously stored in a storage section, such as the presence of a specific peak on the MS/MS spectrum. Each spectrum which conforms to the condition is extracted. This spectrum is most likely to reflect a partial structure of a compound in which an analysis operator is interested. Accordingly, a condition conformity information superposing displayer displays a marker whose appearance varies according to the compound extraction condition, at a position corresponding to the retention time of the extracted spectrum on the two-dimensional chromatogram.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2013Date of Patent: April 9, 2019Assignee: SHIMADZU CORPORATIONInventor: Shinichi Yamaguchi

Patent number: 10249480Abstract: Peak information is collected from an MS/MS spectrum in which the product ions generated from ions originating from a plurality of compounds are mixed. Using one of the m/z values of a plurality of ion species as precursor-ion information and the peak information of the MS/MS spectrum as product-ion information, a database search is performed to find candidate compounds for each compound, and a standard MS/MS spectrum of each candidate compound is obtained. For each combination of the candidate compounds, a virtual MS/MS spectrum is created by integrating the standard MS/MS spectra of those candidate compounds, and the degree of similarity between the virtual MS/MS spectrum and the measured MS/MS spectrum is calculated. If the candidate compounds are correct compounds, the degree of similarity will be high. Accordingly, the compound names and other results are visually presented to users in descending order of the degree of similarity.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2014Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: SHIMADZU CORPORATIONInventor: Shinichi Yamaguchi

Publication number: 20180358215Abstract: A columnar rod reference member made of a material whose coefficient of thermal expansion is different from a flight tube is placed in contact with the tube. One end of the tube and o the reference member are fixed to each other with a fixture part. A distance measurement sensor measures the difference in length between the tube and the reference member whose lengths fluctuate due to a change in temperature. A displacement of the difference in length, as expressed by a proportion, is larger than that of the length of the flight tube. The difference in length is far smaller than the length of the flight tube. This improves detection of the displacement due to thermal expansion with a strain gauge or sensor. The m/z values in mass spectrum data are corrected based on the measured values of the displacement, whereby a highly accurate mass discrepancy correction is achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2015Publication date: December 13, 2018Applicant: SHIMADZU CORPORATIONInventor: Shinichi YAMAGUCHI

Publication number: 20180197726Abstract: An analysis operator checks an optical microscopic image obtained with an imaging mass microscope and indicates a color characteristic of an area which the analysis operator is focusing on. An optical microscopic image feature extractor calculates luminance distribution data in the indicated color. Patent number: 10020173Abstract: A chromatograph mass analysis data processing method for obtaining pertinent information on a compound series including a plurality of compounds whose structures and characters are similar. Based on the data obtained by a chromatograph mass analysis, a two-dimensional isointensity line graph is created and displayed with a retention time and a mass-to-charge ratio on the two axes and with a signal intensity represented with a contour. When the operator specifies a desired range, the data contained in the range specified are collected, the signal intensities along the mass-to-charge ratio axis direction are summed up for every retention time to create a summed mass chromatogram based on the summed value. Simultaneously, the signal intensities along the retention time axis direction are summed up for every mass-to-charge ratio to create a summed mass spectrum based on the summed value. These are then displayed on the same screen of the isointensity line graph.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2011Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: SHIMADZU CORPORATIONInventor: Shinichi Yamaguchi
