  • Patent number: 10095671
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose a browser plug-in designed to conserve bandwidth, power or computing resources. The plug-in identifies links in a web page that retrieve additional data. In some embodiments, the additional data is retrieved and examined to obtain an identifier associated with the data. The identifier is then used to determine a course of action which could be to block the data, move the data or ask that future data comply with the interests of the user. The web page is rendered and displayed in accordance with the decision. In other embodiments, prior to receiving data, the browser plug-in sends information to identify data of interest or disinterest and in response, receives data chosen based on the interest or disinterest, thus refraining from downloading irrelevant data. In still other embodiments, prior to receiving the data, the browser plug-in sends information indicating the data will not be retrieved.

  • Publication number: 20180282169
Abstract: A method for the production of a silica includes (1) reacting a silicic acid solution with an amine, to precipitate the silica from an aqueous solvent system. The method also includes removing at least a portion of the amine associated with the precipitated silica by treating the silica in an aqueous solvent system at a pH that is reduced from that of the reaction mixture (2). The reduction in pH may be by first reducing the pH of the aqueous solvent system, and then removing the silica from the aqueous solvent system. Alternatively the reduction in pH may be removing the silica from the aqueous solvent system first, before treating the silica with an aqueous solvent at a pH below that of the silica forming reaction. Subsequently the silica is removed from the solution (3).

  • Publication number: 20180281374
Abstract: A method for forming a substrate structure for an electrical component includes placing an electrically insulating laminate on a substrate and applying hot pressure to the electrically insulating laminate by a heatable plate. An average temperature of a surface temperature distribution within a center area of the heatable plate is higher than 80° C. during applying the hot pressure. Further, an edge area of the heatable plate laterally surrounds the center area and a temperature of the heatable plate within the edge area decreases from the center area towards an edge of the heatable plate during applying the hot pressure. A temperature at a location located vertically above an edge of the substrate during applying the hot pressure is at least 5° C. lower than the average temperature of the surface temperature distribution within the center area.

Abstract: A sensor data processor is described comprising a memory storing a plurality of trained expert models. The machine learning system has a processor configured to receive an unseen sensor data example and, for each trained expert model, compute a prediction from the unseen sensor data example using the trained expert model. The processor is configured to aggregate the predictions to form an aggregated prediction, receive feedback about the aggregated prediction and update, for each trained expert, a weight associated with that trained expert, using the received feedback. The processor is configured to compute a second aggregated prediction by computing an aggregation of the predictions which takes into account the weights.

  • Patent number: 10084895
Abstract: Upon receiving a first message, from the second network device, indicating that the second network device is incompatible with one or more virtual local area network (VLAN) pruning techniques, a timer on a first network device is configured to expire after a predetermined period of time. The first network device is configured to maintain a subscription for the second network device to one or more VLANs until the timer expires. The second network device is configured to transmit the first message in response to detecting an upcoming control plane outage at the second device. Prior to the timer expiring, embodiments transmit data assigned to the one or more VLANs to the second network device. Embodiments also periodically receive update messages, from the second network device, identifying one or more VLANs to which the second network device wants to subscribe.

  • Patent number: 10085161
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems to facilitate variation of timer duration. In particular, a relay node (RN) may be configured to be served by a base station (BS) over a relay backhaul air interface and may be configured to serve user equipment devices (UEs) over a relay coverage air interface. Also, the RN may be configured (i) to detect when a threshold error in communication occurs on the relay backhaul air interface, (ii) in response to detecting the threshold error in communication, to start a timer that runs for a timer duration, and (iii) to respond to expiration of the timer duration by engaging in management of the relay backhaul air interface. With these arrangements, the RN may determine a count of how many UEs are being served by the RN over the relay coverage air interface and may set the timer duration based on the determined count of UEs.
