  • Patent number: 10451386
Abstract: Systems and methods for calibrating a conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) to provide a predetermined amount of current for each pulse of the stimulus signal. Providing the predetermined amount of current, close thereto, increases the effectiveness of the stimulus signal in impeding locomotion of a human or animal target. The calibration process enables a CEW to calibrate the amount of charge in a pulse of the stimulus signal in the environmental conditions where the tester operates and also in the field where the environmental conditions may be different from the environmental conditions during calibration.

  • Patent number: 10453024
Abstract: Service requests are transmitted to multiple vehicles, each request associated with a time and a location. Driving histories of vehicles are known. A first location associated with a service request is compared with a known location in a vehicle driving history. The known location comprises a first cell identifier of a first grid where a size of the cells indicates a maximum acceptable deviation of the vehicle from a travel segment in the driving history that includes the first cell identifier. When the first location matches the known location and the associated time overlaps a start or end time of the travel segment that includes the first cell identifier, the service request is identified to the vehicle. The vehicle sends an indicator that it will perform at least a portion of a service, and an instruction is transmitted to the vehicle that causes the vehicle to perform the service.

  • Patent number: 10449151
Abstract: The present invention contemplates induction of immunological tolerance thereby providing permanent allograft acceptance. This method obviates the need for a lifelong regimen of immunosuppressive agents which can increase the risk of infection, autoimmunity, and cancer. Immunological tolerance is thought to be mediated by regulatory T lymphocytes (Treg cells) with immunosuppressive capabilities. A therapeutically relevant platform comprising artificial constructs are contemplated comprising numerous soluble and surface bound Treg cell stimulating factors that may induce tolerance following allograft transplantation. Such artificial constructs, being the size of a cell, have surface bound monoclonal antibodies specific to regulatory T-cell surface moieties and encapsulated soluble regulatory T-cell modulating factors.

  • Patent number: 10452473
Abstract: Techniques for managing caching use of a solid state device are disclosed. In some embodiments, the techniques may be realized as a method for managing caching use of a solid state device. Management of the caching use may include receiving, at a host device, notification of failure of a solid state device. In response to the notification a cache mode may be set to uncached. In uncached mode input/output (I/O) requests may be directed to uncached storage (e.g., disk).

  • Patent number: 10452529
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for cloud memory sizing are disclosed. An initial database memory allocation is determined for the provisioning of a database server instance. Periodically, sizes of key database tables of the database server instance are measured and an upper and a lower bound ratio are determined based on the key database table sizes and a buffer pool size. The upper and lower bound ratios are used to determine a desired memory allocation from which a report is generated including an interface for generating an instance move action for re-provisioning the database server instance with the desired memory allocation.

  • Publication number: 20190317745
Abstract: An system and a method for the optimization of dynamic code translation is disclosed. A cloud-based front-end application receives an input module, rule specification and a translation definition. The cloud-based front-end application transmits the input module, rule specification and translation definition to a back-end processing module. The back-end processing module parses the three inputs and stores them in separate data structures. The back-end processing module performs a non-executing analysis of the translation definition based on the rule specification, generating a set of defects. The back-end processing module performs an execution of the translation definition with the input module, generating a report of system metrics. The set of defects and the system metrics are transmitted back to a GUI running on the cloud-based front-end application.

  • Publication number: 20190317775
Abstract: Remote administration of initial computer operating system setup options is facilitated by systems and mechanisms that provide such initial setup options to a computing device during an earlier stage of the operating system setup. An administrator defines, in a profile, how such initial setup options are to be set and when an operating system is being set up it communicates with licensing servers to validate the copy of the operating system. If authorized, and if set up by an administrator, initial setup options are provided to the computing device at such an early stage of the operating system setup. Processes executing on the computing device then utilize software licensing application program interfaces to not only validate the copy of the operating system, but also to set the initial setup options in the manner pre-specified by the administrator. A customized directory service login user interface is one such initial setup option.

  • Patent number: 10445129
Abstract: The disclosure provides an approach for selecting a path to use in transferring a virtual computing instance such as a virtual machine (VM), across data centers. In one embodiment, throughput and throttling information are sampled (e.g., per second) when VMs are transferred from a source data center to a destination data center, and the sampled information is used to construct histograms that provide performance profiles of the VM transfers. Such histogram information across a number of VM transfers can then be mined to determine trends. In turn, trends determined from historical histogram information may be extrapolated into the future to predict performance of a subsequent VM transfer operation and to select a path and/or destination storage and host pair to use for the VM transfer operation.

  • Publication number: 20190311916
Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a semiconductor package and a method for fabrication of the semiconductor package. Further, disclosed herein are systems and methods that are directed to using a photoimageable dielectric (PID) layer with substantially similar mechanical properties as that of a mold material. The disclosure can be used, for example, in the context of bumpless laserless embedded substrate structures (BLESS) technology for wafer/panel level redistribution layer (RDL) and/or fan-out packaging applications. The disclosed embodiments may reduce the need for multiple dry resist film (DFR) lamination steps during various processing steps for semiconductor packaging and can also facilitate multiple layer counts due to the availability of thin PID materials.
