  • Patent number: 10503747
Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating a user interface is provided, in which a first user input is detected, and a confidence analysis is carried out. Different kinds of system responses are generated depending on the result of the confidence analysis, wherein a first kind of system response comprises a system output which requires a second user input, and a second kind of system response comprises the automatic selection of a database entry. A third kind of system response comprises the first and second features, wherein the third kind of system response automatically changes into the first or second kind of system response after the expiry of a period of time. In this case, one of the two first kinds can be set as a standard or “default,” into which the automatic change then takes place after expiry of the period of time without further user interaction.

  • Publication number: 20190373251
Abstract: A method for testing and/or calibrating a camera is provided. An optical test standard is produced. A plurality of subareas, with different grey tones, are applied to a substrate. At least one reference image of the substrate is captured a reference camera, using a predetermined setting comprising at least one parameter. Reference greyscale values for the subareas are determined from the reference image and assigned to the substrate. At least one image of the optical test standard is captured by the camera using a predetermined setting of the camera the setting comprising at least one parameter. Actual greyscale values for the subareas are determined from this image. An assertion about a sufficient or insufficient calibration of the camera is made based on a comparison of the actual greyscale values with the reference greyscale values or with a predetermined range of permissible actual greyscale values.

  • Publication number: 20190280612
Abstract: A switching power supply (switched-mode power device) includes a rectifier for a mains connection and for rectifying a three-phase AC voltage, a first converter and a second converter, the input voltage of which forms an intermediate circuit voltage, where the first converter regulates the intermediate circuit voltage such that the voltage substantially corresponds to a predefinable output voltage of the second converter multiplied by a load-independent transformation ratio on operation of the second converter with a resonant frequency, where upon forced reduction of the output voltage from the second converter, the first converter can set an, on average, sufficiently low intermediate circuit voltage such that the second converter can be operated substantially with the resonant frequency for a load-independent transformation ratio, where a signal for closed-loop control of the first converter stage can be derived from voltage and/or current information from the second converter.

  • Publication number: 20190057161
Abstract: An adaptive link is generated for delivering a device platform-specific and personalized digital pass. When the adaptive link is activated by an end user, a network request is sent from an end-user device to a digital pass management system. The network request may include header information that identifies the device platform of the end-user device. The digital pass management system extracts query string parameters included in the adaptive link. Based on the parameters, a personalized data set in a specific data format such as JSON is generated. A template that is compatible to the device platform is selected. A digital pass that is compatible with the device platform is generated and delivered based on the requirements of the end-user device. In some cases, the adaptive link may include location information such as latitude and longitude coordinates. The digital pass generated may also be location specific.

  • Patent number: 9875003
Abstract: A method for providing a user interface in which a set of objects stored in the form of data is displayed as a sequential list. The method involves each of the objects being allocated a position in a graphical presentation displayed in addition to the sequential list, the position being taken as a basis for displaying the objects in the graphical presentation. A first user action selects a position in the graphical presentation, and the selected position is taken as a basis for selecting a subset from the displayed set of objects in the sequential list. The positions in the graphical presentation are allocated a metric, wherein it is possible to ascertain a measure of distance between two positions, and an object is included in the subset on the basis of the measure of distance between the position associated with the respective object and the selected position.
