The self-reinforcing clip comprises a first support member and a second support member each disposed in spaced relationship with one another and defining a gap therebetween. Each of the support members have a body portion and a flange portion. At least one tooth extends outwardly from at least one of the body portions for engaging an inner wall of the hole. At least one of the support members defines a contact surface.
