  • Publication number: 20150294456
Abstract: A method of detection of faults on circuit boards comprising the steps of capturing an image (14) of each of a plurality of circuit boards (10) and dividing each of the captured images (14) into a plurality of image segments, each having an image characteristic value. One of the circuit boards 10 is selected for testing and each image segment is compared with corresponding image segments of each other circuit boards (10) to define a plurality of differential image characteristic values. The differential image characteristic values for each image segment are ranked from lowest to highest and an nth differential image characteristic value is selected. An overlay image comprising a representation of the selected differential image characteristic values is created and displayed over the selected circuit board.

  • Patent number: 8868392
Abstract: Method for predicting the effect of microbes injected into an oil-bearing reservoir which is capable of being represented by a first computer-generated grid including a first plurality of grid blocks. Measurement data representing the effect of injecting the microbes into a multiple coreflood apparatus is received. The multiple coreflood apparatus has material samples indicative of a rock formation associated with the oil-bearing reservoir, the samples being capable of being represented by a second computer-generated grid having a second plurality of grid blocks, the samples being representative of different regions of the reservoir and being connected such that microbes injected into the first sample are able to flow to the second sample. Data received is input into a computer-implemented reservoir model which simulates the effect of microbe injected in relation to the second grid. The reservoir model generates data indicating the effect of injecting the microbes into the multiple coreflood apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8460524
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring the concentration of an analyte in a blood sample and, more particularly, to methods of chemistry patterning reagent layers for multiple well biosensors. A first capillary is first configured to receive a dispensed reagent layer such that the reagent layer is distributed in a substantially uniform manner within the first capillary. The first capillary may also configured to isolate the first capillary from other capillaries present in the biosensor. After the reagent layer has been dispensed and dried, the first capillary may then be reconfigured to allow the first capillary to receive a blood sample.

  • Patent number: 8380794
Abstract: A method, system and computer-usable medium are disclosed for providing information related to a user address as used in a communication session. A tag processing module is implemented for processing tags related to a user. A first user selects a second user to receive a message to initiate a communication session. The message recipient's tags, along with their preferred communication method(s) are displayed within the message sender's messaging client. The message sender then composes and sends a message to the message recipient, using the message recipient's preferred method of communication. The message is received by the message recipient and the message sender's tags are displayed within the message recipient's messaging client. If the message recipient decides to respond to the message, then a communication session is conducted. Once the communications session is ended, a linguistic analysis of the communication session is performed by the tag processing module.

  • Patent number: 8230936
Abstract: Methods for creating packers at a desired location or locations within a wellbore for use in specific wellbore applications. A slurry of fluid medium and hydrolysable particulate matter is flowed to a downhole position and dehydrated. At this location, the particulate matter is released from the fluid medium and accumulated. The continual accumulation of the slurry and consequent deposition of particulate matter creates a degradable packer at the desired location within the wellbore. The particulate matter may be formed of an acid particle which may be removable, degradable, or hydrolysable under certain conditions of temperature, time, hydration, pH, and/or pressure. Either simultaneous with or subsequent to a wellbore activity, the packer is partially or completely removed from the wellbore.
