  • Patent number: 9838749
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for delivering programming content to vehicles (e.g., seagoing vessels) in a cost-effective manner. In some embodiments, programming content may be delivered to vehicles over previously deployed networks (e.g., satellite networks), using excess network capacity which may not otherwise be used to deliver data. By opportunistically employing excess network capacity (e.g., as the capacity becomes available), data constituting programming content may be delivered to vehicles over a period of time, such as via multicast transmission. A vehicle may store received data on one or more onboard servers. After an item of programming content has been received, the item may be made accessible to the vehicle's crew and/or passengers, such as by streaming the item to one or more suitably configured playback devices. Content may be served to playback devices “on demand” and/or according to a programming schedule.

  • Publication number: 20170291836
Abstract: Disclosed is an automated smart water purification and dispensing apparatus for providing purified water to a plurality of users. The water dispensed by the automated smart water purification and dispensing apparatus employs an ION purification means and an Ozone purification means for the incoming water from the water supply. The automated smart water purification and dispensing apparatus includes a display means for providing visual information and an audio output means for providing audio information to users. The subscribers of a water-dispensing scheme proposed by a central computerized controller can receive water using a storage container having an optical code that can be read using an RFID reader of the automated smart water purification and dispensing apparatus. The central computerized controller communicates with a central server in real time for transferring information about the subscribers and for controlling water dispensing accounts associated with each of the subscribers.

  • Publication number: 20170293904
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for validating point of access customer subscription status and brokering intermediary billing adjustments. Customers can register into a water filter network. When at a food service provider location, a subscriber, when ordering water, can receive water filtered by network company's filter systems in a water storage container having a unique optical machine code that can be scanned using a smartphone application to verify the customer's subscription status via water filter manufacturer's database server. Filtered water from company's water dispensing apparatus is provided to a valid subscriber for free, while the unregistered subscriber will be required to pay full retail price for said bottle of water. The amount of water received by the validated subscriber will be deducted from the retail service bill of the service customer and the volume of water dispensed is deducted from a monthly bill of the food service provider.

  • Patent number: 9735786
Abstract: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for single phase spot circuits. In certain implementations, a single phase spot circuit propagates a spot from input to output in response to a clock edge of a single phase clock signal. The single phase spot circuit holds the spot for about one clock cycle, thereby providing higher maximum operating frequency relative to multiphase spot circuits that hold a spot for about half of a clock cycle. Two or more single phase spot circuits can be electrically connected in a ring to operate as a spot divider. The single phase spot circuits can be used to advance a spot, represented using either a one or a zero, from one spot circuit to the next in response to a clock edge. In certain implementations, as the spot advances, a single phase spot circuit clears the spot from its input via a feedback element.

  • Publication number: 20170215641
Abstract: A firebox assembly for generating smoke and conveying controlled amounts of smoke and air for a kamado oven. A firebox assembly has a door leading to a fire chamber, in turn, having an exit opening for smoke to flow into a smoke chamber. A chimney connected to the smoke chamber has slide gates to control the flow of smoke from the smoke chamber into the kamado oven. Further, the gates allow the smoke to be exhausted to the atmosphere and further allow atmospheric air to enter into the chimney eventually flowing to the kamado oven.
