  • Patent number: 9590823
Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve an apparatus, device, component, and/or method for a hardware efficient flow to port affinity management table for link aggregation for a network fabric switch with Ethernet Gateway functionality. Rather than maintaining a state per traffic flow list, the present disclosure utilizes a handle or hash value derived from the traffic flow and associates an output port state to the hash value. The output port state for the hash value is further associated with a portlist that is based on at least a traffic flow policy of the server or group of servers associated with the traffic flow. In addition, the management table may be adjusted based on state changes to one or more of the output ports such that, if a port becomes unavailable, the management table may be adjusted to account for the unavailability of the port.

  • Patent number: 9579890
Abstract: A printhead for a printer has actuating elements for ejecting fluid, and a drive circuit for selectively applying a drive waveform having several slopes, to an actuating element, according to a print signal. A resulting printhead has a lesser sensitivity to changes of slew rate in one slope of the drive waveform than a sensitivity to change in another. The drive circuit has a variable resistance circuit, and a control circuit to control the variable resistance circuit to adjust a slew rate of the slope of lesser sensitivity according to a trim signal. By making the adjustment less sensitive, the trim signal and trim control can have more relaxed tolerances, thus can employ simpler, cheaper circuitry.

  • Patent number: 9543962
Abstract: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for single phase spot circuits. In certain implementations, a single phase spot circuit propagates a spot from input to output in response to a clock edge of a single phase clock signal. The single phase spot circuit holds the spot for about one clock cycle, thereby providing higher maximum operating frequency relative to multiphase spot circuits that hold a spot for about half of a clock cycle. Two or more single phase spot circuits can be electrically connected in a ring to operate as a spot divider. The single phase spot circuits can be used to advance a spot, represented using either a one or a zero, from one spot circuit to the next in response to a clock edge. In certain implementations, as the spot advances, a single phase spot circuit clears the spot from its input via a feedback element.

  • Publication number: 20160360280
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for delivering programming content to vehicles (e.g., seagoing vessels) in a cost-effective manner. In some embodiments, programming content may be delivered to vehicles over previously deployed networks (e.g., satellite networks), using excess network capacity which may not otherwise be used to deliver data. By opportunistically employing excess network capacity (e.g., as the capacity becomes available), data constituting programming content may be delivered to vehicles over a period of time, such as via multicast transmission. A vehicle may store received data on one or more onboard servers. After an item of programming content has been received, the item may be made accessible to the vehicle's crew and/or passengers, such as by streaming the item to one or more suitably configured playback devices. Content may be served to playback devices “on demand” and/or according to a programming schedule.

  • Patent number: 9473069
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for phase linearization and interpolation in rotary traveling wave oscillators (RTWOs) are provided. In certain configurations, an RTWO system includes a first elongated RTWO and a second elongated RTWO that are phase-locked to one another with a non-zero phase shift. The first and second elongated RTWOs each include two elongated sections of differential transmission line of high phase linearity. For example, such long and straight sections of the differential transmission lines can have uniform capacitance loading and avoid non-uniformities in length and/or thickness associated with poor phase linearity. The RTWO system further includes tap circuitry that receives clock signal phases from the elongated sections of the RTWOs. In certain implementations, the tap circuitry includes one or more interpolation circuits that interpolate received clock signal phases to increase the number of available phases. The RTWO system can include a large number of taps of high phase linearity.
