  • Publication number: 20250146052
Abstract: A method of assigning parent-of-origin to a haplotype, a sub-haplotype or an allele associated with a haplotype. Chromosome-length haplotypes of a genome are generated and a differential methylation status of at least one imprinted differentially methylated region (iDMR) associated with each one of the autosomal chromosomes is determined. The differential methylation status of the at least one iDMR is used to assign parent-of-origin for each one of the chromosome-length haplotypes.

  • Publication number: 20250147786
Abstract: A virtual machine monitor (VMM) of a computing system may provide flexible memory management for guest virtual machines (guest VMs). The VMM may allocate a flexible amount of memory that is accessible to a guest VM. A guest VM may be configured, such as by VMM, to utilize a larger fixed amount of guest memory. A memory access error may be generated when guest VM accesses a memory location outside of the flexible memory. The VMM may receive the memory access error and allocate additional memory including at least the memory location to the flexible memory. The memory location may then be accessed without triggering a failure.

  • Publication number: 20250145015
Abstract: A system performs a method for operating a vehicle. A cable is attached between an inverter of the vehicle and a motor of the vehicle, the cable having a resistance. The inverter is operated using a first direct current (DC) reference voltage. A processor obtains a current from the motor, calculates a power factor at the inverter, obtains a resistance of the cable, determines a voltage drop between the inverter and the motor from the current, the resistance and the power factor due to a presence of the cable, determines a DC compensation voltage from the voltage drop, and adjusts the first DC reference voltage to a second DC reference voltage using the DC compensation voltage.

  • Publication number: 20250148688
Abstract: In some aspects, systems and methods provide for forming groupings of a plurality of independently-specified computation workloads, such as graphics processing workloads, and in a specific example, ray tracing workloads. The workloads include a scheduling key, which is one basis on which the groupings can be formed. Workloads grouped together can all execute from the same source of instructions, on one or more different private data elements. Such workloads can recursively instantiate other workloads that reference the same private data elements. In some examples, the scheduling key can be used to identify a data element to be used by all the workloads of a grouping. Memory conflicts to private data elements are handled through scheduling of non-conflicted workloads or specific instructions and/or deferring conflicted workloads instead of locking memory locations.

  • Publication number: 20250147240
Abstract: A fiber array unit, and a method and apparatus for fabricating the fiber array unit. The fiber array unit includes optical fibers that define a two-dimensional array of fiber end faces, and are encapsulated by a matrix that holds the optical fibers in place. The fiber array unit is fabricated by seating optical fibers in grooves of an arcuate surface, and applying an amount of uncured matrix thereto. A substrate is moved into contact with the matrix and the matrix cured to bond the optical fibers to each other and the substrate. The substrate is moved away from the arcuate surface to release the bonded optical fibers. The process can be repeated to fabricate a fiber array unit having multiple rows of optical fibers.

  • Publication number: 20250148694
Abstract: Aspects comprise systems implementing 3-D graphics processing functionality in a multiprocessing system. Control flow structures are used in scheduling instances of computation in the multiprocessing system, where different points in the control flow structure serve as points where deferral of some instances of computation can be performed in favor of scheduling other instances of computation. In some examples, the control flow structure identifies particular tasks, such as intersection testing of a particular portion of an acceleration structure, and a particular element of shading code. In some examples, the aspects are used in 3-D graphics processing systems that can perform ray tracing based rendering.
