  • Publication number: 20160231570
Abstract: A wearable image display system comprises a headpiece, a first and a second light engine, and a first and a second optical component. The first and second light engines generate a first and a second set of beams respectively, each beam substantially collimated so that the first and second set form a first and a second virtual image respectively. Each optical component is located to project an image onto a first and a second eye of a wearer respectively. The first and second sets of beams are directed to incoupling structures of the first and second optical components respectively. Exit structures of the first and second optical components guide the first and second sets of beams onto the first and second eyes respectively. The optical components are located between the light engines and the eyes. Both of the light engines are mounted to a central portion of the headpiece.

Abstract: A method and system for facilitating operational adjustment of a User Equipment (UE) to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) cell serviced by an evolved NodeB (eNB). The eNB transmits a burst of multiple signals, each indicative of a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS), and transmitted within a predetermined time frame. The UE, receives at least one signal of the burst, decodes the PSS based on the received at least one signal, and performs the operational adjustment based on the decoded PSS. • Patent number: 9407578
Abstract: Aspects relate to arbitrating access to an interconnect among multiple ports. For example, input ports receive requests for access to identified destination ports and buffer these in one or more FIFOs. A picker associated with respective FIFO(s) begins an empty arbitration packet that includes a location for each output port and fills one or more locations in the packet, such as based on a prioritization scheme. Each packet is passed in a ring to another picker, which performs a fill that does not conflict with previously filled locations in that packet. Each picker has an opportunity to place requests in each of the packets. Results of the arbitration are dispatched to reorder buffers associated with respective output ports and used to schedule the interconnect. Each arbitration cycle thus produces a set of control information for an interconnect to be used in subsequent data transfer steps.

  • Publication number: 20160202721
Abstract: A system and a method for controlling a vehicle with a joystick that includes implementing at least one dead band for the joystick. The dead band prevents movement of the vehicle when the joystick is within the dead band areas. The dead band areas are adjustable and take a plurality of shapes including having gaps between areas of the dead band areas. These dead bands allow for smooth operation of a vehicle by suppressing the control signal of the joystick for unintentional movements of the joystick by the operator. The adjustability of the dead band allows for adjustment based on the joystick type, the vehicle type, and the control desired.

  • Patent number: 9389926
Abstract: Some embodiments of a system and a method to detect contention for resource in a cluster file system have been presented. For instance, a processing device executable on a node in a cluster file system may put lock requests for a resource from the node into a local lock request queue, where multiple nodes in the cluster file system share the resource. Then the lock requests for the resource from this node and lock requests for the resource from other nodes may be tracked to measure congestion on the resource.
