  • Publication number: 20160135124
Abstract: A method and apparatus for communicating system information in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises generating and sending by a base station, for example an eNB, a system information block (SIB) which includes at least one correlation enhancement bit. This SIB is received by the terminal, for example a MTC UE, and this SIB is subsequently correlated with a previously received SIB. Further, upon the correlation of the SIB and the previously received SIB, a determination is made whether the SIB has in fact changed. Upon determining if the SIB has changed, the terminal selects the correct SIB which is to be used for configuring communication with the base station.

  • Patent number: 9325046
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-mode cavity filter in which signals are coupled to or from a resonator body, using a coupling path with first and second portions arranged such that current flows in opposite directions and the couplings due to the magnetic fields generated partially cancel one another. In this way, the degree of coupling to any particular mode of the filter can be closely controlled by varying the length and/or orientation of the portions with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 9315241
Abstract: A disconnectable buoyant turret mooring system for an FPSO is vulnerable to damage from collisions between the buoy and the buoy turret cage during mating and de-mating operations. It is therefore desirable that the buoy separate quickly from the turret of the FPSO vessel during a disconnect operation. A buoy turret cage is provided with a certain degree of porosity that allows a flow of seawater from the outside of the receptor to the inner surface of the receptor. Introducing water in this way relieves the suction forces and allows for a quicker separation of the buoy from the turret of the FPSO vessel, minimizing the time during which an uncontrolled collision between the buoy and the FPSO vessel is most likely. Filling a portion of the turret above the mooring buoy with water prior to releasing the buoy also decreases the separation time.
