  • Publication number: 20070012493
Abstract: With the growing demand of oil products in the world, this invention can help curb the fuel consumption rate of trucks/large motor vehicles without reducing peak power outputs. A vehicle having a “dual series” hybrid power systems includes two liquid fueled internal combustion engines, each engine having a generator directly connected. There is an electric motor for drivability directly connected to one or more ground engaging wheels. A first electrical storage device (battery pack) stores electricity that powers the electric motor. Two voltage reducers are coupled between both of the generators and the first electrical storage device and has an accessory voltage output, which has a lower voltage than the charging power output of the generators, to keep the accessory second electrical storage device fully charged.

  • Publication number: 20070003389
Abstract: The invention relates to a blind rivet, related method of removal and a tool. The removable blind rivet has a rivet body that receives a mandrel. The rivet body has a flange with a line of weakness formed therein. The line of weakness is adapted to shear under an axial load, whereby the flange is severed, substantially as a single item, from the rivet body. The invention extends to a tool for removing the rivet, the tool having: a body and a punch surface, the punch surface adapted to apply an axial force to a region of the flange, whereby the flange is severed from the rivet body in the form of an annulus, leaving a hollow rivet body that may be removed from a workpiece. The advantage of the invention is that it enables the flange to be removed form the rivet body as a single item.

  • Publication number: 20060211348
Abstract: A honing guide and bevel setting jig for removable attachment to the honing guide to properly position the angle and projection of a tool to be sharpened in the jig to enable the tool to be honed at the proper angle and position. An adjustable roller that contacts an abrasive surface during use of the guide facilitates formation of micro bevels. A tool securing bar having a generally triangular shape in the bar's middle section forces the arris-defining back of the tool being honed against a reference surface in the guide by tightening thumb nuts around threaded studs projecting from the bar. Jigs for use with both square and skew edge chisel and blades are described. A concave surface clamp bar honing guide provides enhanced gripping of the tool being honed, and wedges and adjustable structures expand the range of bevel angles that can be honed.

  • Publication number: 20060130989
Abstract: A softening composition for treating tissue products is disclosed. The softening composition comprises a combination of particular amino-functional polysiloxanes and alkoxylated alcohols in particular proportionate amounts. When applied to tissue products at add-on levels of less than about 5% by weight, the softening composition has been found not only to improve the softness of the product but also not to substantially interfere with the wettability characteristics of the sheet.
