  • Publication number: 20190288915
Abstract: Systems and methods for discovery of and planning migration for computing nodes are provided. At least one collector node is deployed at a source location network to discover data associated with computing nodes of a source infrastructure. The data is transmitted to a staging API. A migration processing API receives the discovered data from the staging API after satisfying an access control measure and writes the discovered data to a migration database. A migration planning API analyzes the discovered data written to the migration database by applying a criticality algorithm to determine a criticality parameter associated with each of the computing nodes. The criticality parameter identifies a potential impact that each computing node has to migration. The migration planning API automatically groups the computing nodes into migration pods, prioritizes the migration pods based on the criticality parameters, and generates a plan for migrating the migration pods to a target infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 10360517
Abstract: A computing device automatically selects hyperparameter values based on objective criteria to train a predictive model. Each session of a plurality of sessions executes training and scoring of a model type using an input dataset in parallel with other sessions of the plurality of sessions. Unique hyperparameter configurations are determined using a search method and assigned to each session. For each session of the plurality of sessions, training of a model of the model type is requested using a training dataset and the assigned hyperparameter configuration, scoring of the trained model using a validation dataset and the assigned hyperparameter configuration is requested to compute an objective function value, and the received objective function value and the assigned hyperparameter configuration are stored. • Patent number: 10295747
Abstract: Systems and methods for scribing and cleaving an optical fiber held by a ferrule are disclosed. The methods include operably supporting an optical fiber in a ferrule so that a bare fiber section of the optical fiber extends beyond a front end of the ferrule. The method also includes disposing a top-side location of a scribing medium to be in contact with a lower portion of the bare fiber section and a near-side location of the scribing medium to be in contact with the front end of the ferrule. The top-side location includes an abrasive feature while the near-side location is smooth. The scribing medium is moved relative to the bare fiber section to cause the abrasive feature to form a scribe mark at a scribe location at a distance from the front end of the ferrule. The smooth near-side location prevents substantial damage to the ferrule front end.
