Abstract: A permanent magnet (PM) machine includes a rotor and a stator assembly. The rotor includes a plurality of permanent magnets disposed about an axis of rotation. The stator assembly includes a stator body, a plurality of coil sides and a plurality of sintered iron magnetic wedges. The stator body includes a plurality of stator teeth defining a plurality of stator slots, each stator slot having an inside position and an outside position, such that each of the plurality of stator slots includes a first plurality of inside positions, and a first plurality of outside positions. The first plurality of coil sides are disposed in each of the first plurality of inside positions and the first plurality of outside positions. The first plurality of coil sides correspond to a first power phase. The first plurality of coil sides are electrically coupled to one another by a first plurality of end-coils.

Abstract: A system includes a processor configured to receive a vehicle location and to access driver-specific driving-mode-change data for the vehicle location. The processor is also configured to determine, based on the accessed data, if a vehicle driving-mode-change has previously occurred at the vehicle location and context a sufficient number of times to cross a predefined threshold and, if so, to automatically change a vehicle driving-mode to the driving-mode associated with the previous driving-mode-change.

Abstract: A method for generating presentation slides with distilled content including receiving one or more data files as source material for slide generation, obtaining content from the one or more data files for a slide of a slide presentation, identifying a layout template for the slide based on the content, and distilling the content into distilled content to generate a presentation visualization item based on the distilled content. The distilled content may include a subset of the content. The method may also include generating the slide based on the presentation visualization item and the layout template.

Abstract: Provided is a cable lock including a locking clasp including first and second clasp components having first and second security cable connection arms. The locking clasp includes at least one groove. The at least one groove is configured to receive at least one device cable. The cable lock includes a security cable having a wire rope and a vinyl coating. The wire rope includes a plurality of wire strings arranged in a plurality of clusters. The first and second security cable connection arms of the locking clasp are coupled to a first end of the security cable. First and second stop sleeves are disposed on opposite sides of the first and second security cable connection arms. A device connection means is disposed at a second end of the security cable opposite the first end of the security cable.

Abstract: A method in an aggregation server may provide healthcare information based on electronic healthcare records from a plurality of data portals. A master record may be provided in a database, and the master record may include an aggregation of healthcare information for a user based on initial electronic healthcare records received by the aggregation server over a network from a plurality of data portals. A schedule to update the master record for the user may be determined, and the schedule may be based on information included in the master record for the user. The master record in the database for the user may be updated based on current electronic healthcare records received at the aggregation server over the network from at least one of the plurality of data portals, with the master record being updated according to the schedule. Related servers and computer program products are also discussed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicle mode scheduling with learned user preferences include monitoring vehicle data when a vehicle changes from a first mode to a second mode. The method also includes analyzing the vehicle data to identify a preference for the second mode during a driving context. Additionally, the method includes generating a recommendation on whether to switch to the second mode while traversing a route based on the vehicle data, and the driving context, and presenting the recommendation to the driver.

Abstract: A system for providing weather conditions includes a server in communication with a weather data provision service. The server includes a middleware application operable to process weather data requests. The system also includes a gps module, and at least one component control system, operable to adjust at least one parameter associated with at least one vehicle component. Finally, the illustrative system includes a vehicle computing system, in communication with the GPS module, the at least one component control system, and the server. In response to a request for data from the component control system, the vehicle computing system passes GPS data to the server, including the request for data, and the vehicle computing system responsively receives the requested data from the server. The vehicle computing system relays the received data to the component control system that requested the data.

Abstract: A condenser equipped with a refrigerant outlet configured to receive and store liquid refrigerant during an off-cycle is described. The refrigerant outlet may include an outflow pipe surrounded by a weir. The weir may include a port, through which liquid refrigerant in the weir can be directed to, for example, moving parts of the chiller for lubrication. The outflow pipe may extend vertically relative to the bottom of the condenser. In some embodiments, a first opening of the outflow pipe may be positioned higher than the bottom of the condenser in the vertical direction, while the weir may be positioned lower than the bottom of the condenser. Liquid refrigerant in the condenser can flow to and stay in the weir in an off-cycle. During a subsequent start-up, the liquid refrigerant in the weir can be directly quickly to moving parts of the chiller.

Abstract: Bulk joining of computing devices to an identity service is performed in two parts. In the first part, a user of a token retrieval device provides credentials to an identity service, which verifies the credentials and provides to the token retrieval device a bulk token for joining the service. In the second part, the bulk token obtained from the identity service is provided to each computing device in a group of multiple computing devices that are to join the identity service. Each computing device in the group of computing devices communicates with the identity service to join the identity service using the bulk token. The bulk token can be provided to each of the multiple computing devices in the group as part of a provisioning package that includes additional configuration information to be used to configure the computing devices in the group.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for copying inherited properties between electronic documents. An input to copy a source child element from a source application editing a source document is received. The source child element inherits a value of a property from another element. An input to paste the copied element into a destination document edited by destination application is received. The copied element is pasted into the destination document. The destination application retrieves instructions to determine a destination child value of the property and uses the instructions to determine the destination child value. The destination child value is consistent with the value which would have been determined had the copied element been pasted into the source document.

Abstract: A network device may receive an activation instruction. The network device may provide network resources. The activation instruction may request the network device to activate a particular network resource that is deactivated. The activation instruction may be associated with a license that identifies the particular network resource and identifies a resource request of a user. Abstract: A controller may indicate a low-traction mode of a vehicle when a longitudinal tracking accumulation exceeds a first threshold value and a lateral response accumulation exceeds a second threshold value. The longitudinal tracking accumulation may measure a tally of activation of a traction control system over time. The lateral response accumulation may measure a comparison of the vehicle yaw-rate to a driver-desired model-based prediction of the yaw-rate. The controller may indicate the low-traction mode by providing a recommendation to switch to the low-traction mode in a human-machine interface screen of the vehicle, or by automatically adjusting the operational mode of at least one electronic control unit of the vehicle to implement the low-traction mode.

An apparatus for use in debriding a root canal of a tooth includes a microcannula or a macrocannula configured to evacuate a fluid in the root canal, and a sensing mechanism fluidically coupled to the microcannula or the macrocannula, the sensing mechanism configured to continuously sense debris in the evacuated fluid in real time.
