Abstract: A method for providing unequal allocation of rights among agents while operating according to fair principles, comprising assigning a hierarchal rank to each agent; providing a synthetic economic value to a first set of agents at the a high level of the hierarchy; allocating portions of the synthetic economic value by the first set of agents to a second set of agents at respectively different hierarchal rank than the first set of agents; and conducting an auction amongst agents using the synthetic economic value as the currency. A method for allocation among agents, comprising assigning a wealth generation function for generating future wealth to each of a plurality of agents, communicating subjective market information between agents, and transferring wealth generated by the secure wealth generation function between agents in consideration of a market transaction. The method may further comprise the step of transferring at least a portion of the wealth generation function between agents.

Abstract: A stackable food and beverage service apparatus for use by a person to support food and a beverage in a single hand with ergonomic thumb holds for grip support. The apparatus comprises an upper surface on one side and a recessed surface on the other side. The recessed surface is for holding food, whereas the upper surface includes a beverage receptacle and two opposing thumb holds offset to either side of the beverage receptacle. A user can securely grip the apparatus with the left or right thumb while the fingertips support the bottom of the recessed surface. A raised rim around the periphery keeps food in the recessed surface and separated from the beverage receptacle and the thumb holds.

Abstract: A miniature pressure scanning system includes a plurality of miniature pressure sensors where each pressure sensors includes at least one sensor output for providing an analog output signal indicative of a detected pressure on a body, and each pressure sensor output has an associated output impedance; a plurality of buffers, each buffer electrically connected to the output port of a corresponding one of the pressure sensors, and configured to reduce the associated output impedance of the corresponding sensor output coupled thereto, and further configured to provide at an output of the buffer the analog output pressure signal from the pressure sensor; and a multiplexer coupled downstream of the plurality of buffers and configured to multiplex the buffered analog output pressure signals to output a multiplexed analog signal representing the detected pressures.

The invention involves receiving object data associated with at least one object proximate, or in viewing proximity, to the visual display; and processing the received object data to determine a probable demographic profile associated with the object, wherein the determined probable demographic profiles are used to determine the exposure to the visual display.

In such an embodiment, a bus and an accelerator are coupled to one another. The accelerator has an application function block. Abstract: A mechanism is provided for sharing resources among logical partitions in a logical partitioned data processing system and for managing the changes to resources in such a way that the sharing operating systems are able to handle the various transitions in a graceful manner. Four hypervisor functions plus a specific return code manage the granting of access of resources owned by one partition to another (client) partition, accepting of granted resources by client partitions, returning of granted resources by client partitions, and rescinding of access by the owning partition. These four hypervisor functions are invoked either explicitly by the owning and client partitions or automatically by the hypervisor in response to partition termination. The hypervisor functions provide the needed infrastructure to manage the sharing of logical resources among partitions.

One of the tracks in the queue is identified for a current focus. A voice command is received that includes a directional aspect and a metadata filtering aspect. Abstract: A cannulated retrograde reamer that is adjustable to create tunnels of multiple different diameters. Other modules include a data port on the housing, the data port configured to communicate information about radio frequency signals within the module to a computing system remote from the module.

Abstract: An apparatus, program product and method dynamically bind Message Signaled Interrupt (MSI) resources shared by a plurality of clients to an interrupt facility in an MSI-capable computer. In addition, management of such bindings may be implemented using a platform independent interrupt manager capable of managing multiple MSI bindings between MSI resources to an interrupt facility, and interfaced with an underlying hardware platform of a computer through platform-specific encapsulation program code.
