  • Publication number: 20160098716
Abstract: Payment card transactions at a point of sale (POS) are secured in certain embodiments by intercepting, with a POS security layer installed on a POS terminal, payment data from the POS terminal, transmitting the payment data from the POS security layer to a server security application installed on a POS server, and providing false payment data from the POS security layer to a POS terminal application installed on the POS terminal. The false payment data in various embodiments is processed as if it were the payment data, such that the POS terminal transmits an authorization request to the POS server using the false payment data. In addition, the authorization request may be transmitted from the POS server to a payment gateway.

  • Patent number: 9286629
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for efficient matching of suppliers and customers for travel-related and other types of goods and services. These methods and systems are based on an exchange or market concept, in which a computer system performs matching between different parties. Specifically, an exchange system may compare customers' requests with suppliers' content records. In certain embodiments, an exchange system sends notifications of customers' requests to suppliers based on criteria presented by the suppliers. Users' requests and/or vendors' content records may be processed using natural language parser to determine appropriate components for searches and matches. This substantially improves efficiency of the exchange system and makes it more user friendly as users and vendors may present different terms in their respective searches and entries. An exchange system may include a pattern recognition component and semantic natural language parser to perform this function.

  • Patent number: 9256874
Abstract: One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a system and associated processes for sharing cardholder data (CHD) between a merchant that utilizes tokenization and a second merchant that may or may not utilize tokenization. In one embodiment, the merchant, or an employee of the merchant, can use the system and associated processes to reacquire CHD from a tokenization provider system. In one embodiment, the merchant identifies to the tokenization provider system a desire to share CHD, which is associated with a token, with a second merchant. The merchant and/or the tokenization provider system can then invite the second merchant to register with the tokenization provider system. Once registered with the tokenization provider system, the second merchant can access any CHD that the merchant associated with the second merchant.

  • Publication number: 20160004266
Abstract: In described examples, a phase interleaver obtains (i) a first signal indicating a variance between a reference voltage and a regulated output voltage and (ii) a second signal indicating a voltage across an energy storage device. A voltage regulator includes multiple phase blocks collectively configured to generate the regulated output voltage. In a repeating cycle, (i) the voltage across the energy storage device is increased while the second signal is less than the first signal and (ii) in response to a determination that the second signal is greater than the first signal, the energy storage device is substantially discharged, multiple stages of a clock divider are transitioned in the phase interleaver, and a set of control signals is output from the clock divider. The control signals have a common switching frequency and a common switching period. The control signals control the phase blocks active in generating the output voltage.

  • Patent number: 9188404
Abstract: This invention is a precision weapon that utilizes solely as a projectile, a precision-ball made out of a suitable material namely solid C260 brass. It employs a smoothbore precision-barrel with a metal toothed rack/rail affixed along the northern hemisphere of the muzzle of the barrel that effectively converts some of the forward motion of the ball into rotational motion so that the ball is mechanically forced to rotate upwards/backwards at very high speed that can run into millions of rotations per minute, vastly improving its ballistic coefficient and downrange accuracy. The weapon can be produced in a variety of existing types of firearms such as bolt-action, falling-block or semi-automatic, and can be chambered for a variety of calibers. A 5.5625 mm caliber bolt-action rim fire weapon for instance will provide a user with a weapon ideal for hunting small-game or for target shooting purposes. See FIGS. 1, 2 and 3.

  • Patent number: 9169069
Abstract: A mobile storage system that includes a guidance system controlling the movement of each of a plurality of movable carriages along a support surface. The mobile storage system includes a guidance system having a magnetic strip positioned on the support surface. One or more magnetic sensors are positioned on each of the mobile carriages and generally aligned with the magnetic strip positioned on the floor. The magnetic sensors detect the magnetic strip and a control unit controls the operation of a pair of drive motors to move the carriages along, the mobile strip while maintaining proper alignment.
