  • Patent number: 10293520
Abstract: A method for bonding and encapsulating a sensor to a substrate by using a mold having a top surface, a bottom surface, a void, and a channel includes disposing the flexible mold in contact with a surface of the substrate. The method further includes passing the sensor through the channel and terminating the sensor within the void at an offset distance from the substrate. The method further includes filling the void and encapsulating the sensor with a substantially fixed volume and substantially fixed geometry of cement.

  • Patent number: 10286503
Abstract: A fastener delivery system includes an escapement mechanism configured to control dispensing of associated fasteners located in a column one associated fastener at a time and a rotate and present apparatus operable with the escapement mechanism. The apparatus is configured to rotate between a fastener receiving position and a fastener loading position. In the fastener receiving position the apparatus is adapted to receive each associated fastener released from the escapement mechanism, and in the fastener loading position the apparatus is configured to present each associated fastener to an associated fastener installation device. The escapement mechanism is adjustable in a height direction relative to the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20180293644
Abstract: A computing method receives a shopping list, a GPS location, and products offered at a store. The computing method classifies each shopping list item into one or more hierarchies with an associated confidence level. The computing method determines one or more items corresponding to hierarchies where confidence level that exceeds the predetermined threshold level. The computing method determines a user location and a store within a predefined range of the user location. The computing method determines whether the store includes any of the one or more items and sends a notification to the user including an identification of the store and the item at the store.

  • Publication number: 20180251285
Abstract: A method of packaging a bicycle having at least one wheel axle with exposed ends in a shipping carton. The method includes attaching a guard over at least one of the exposed ends of the axle by sliding the axle through a slotted opening in the guard and using the guard to tighten a fastener to positively secure the guard on the axle. A distal surface of the guard is aligned with a side of the carton and the bicycle is placed into the carton with the distal guard surface adjacent to a side of the carton.

  • Publication number: 20180224055
Abstract: The present invention provides support frames for positive pressure blowers having one or more wheels mounted at a lower corner of the frame, wherein the wheels are mounted to roll in a direction that is perpendicular to the flow of air through the blower. This sideways orientation of the wheels allows a frame carrying a blower to be easily moved from side to side, such as when placed into or removed from a side compartment on an emergency vehicle, and allows such a frame carrying a blower to be easily tilted, turned and rolled around at the scene of a fire in much the same manner as a wheelbarrow. Embodiments of the invention may include an upper handle or grip which allows a user to control the frames by tilting and rolling them around on the wheels. Embodiments of the invention may include a support bracket for holding a battery or other power supply.

  • Patent number: 9945931
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable storage media for navigating an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) using signals of opportunity are disclosed. The UAV may include a receiver for detecting a plurality of signals at two or more receiver elements. The UAV may estimate an angle of arrival (AoA) for at least two signals of the plurality of signals, and may estimate a position of the receiver based, at least in part, on the AoA for each of the at least two signals. Known locations of the transmitters that are transmitting the at least two signals may be used in conjunction with the AoAs to determine the estimate of the position of the receiver. More than two signals may be used to localize the estimated position of the receiver.

  • Patent number: 9878930
Abstract: An enhanced apparatus system and method may be used to facilitate the construction of a processing tank such as an anaerobic digester. The kit may include a cover assembly that can be assembled to form a cover for the processing tank, a side wall assembly that can be assembled to form a side wall for the processing tank, and a plurality of ballast support assemblies. Each ballast support assembly may have a retracted configuration in which the ballast support assembly avoids significantly impeding vertical motion of the ballast block from an initial ballast location to a final ballast location, and a deployed configuration in which the ballast block can be supported by the ballast support assembly in the final ballast location.
