  • Publication number: 20100182451
Abstract: Imaging signal obtained through exposure for divided exposure times is A/D converted to digital imaging signal. Dark current component is subtracted from the digital imaging signal. The result of subtraction is accumulated and stored in a first memory. Next, exposure for divided exposure times is performed with the imaging device shielded from light. The obtained imaging signal is A/D converted to digital imaging signal. Dark current component is subtracted from the digital imaging signal. The result of subtraction is accumulated and stored sequentially in a second memory. The digital imaging signal stored in the second memory is subtracted from the digital imaging signal stored in the first memory. Then the result of subtraction is output. The word length allocated to one pixel in the first and second memories is longer than the word length of one A/D converted pixel.

  • Patent number: 7327878
Abstract: In an image pickup apparatus, a particular color signal is extracted from an input video signal based on the selected image taking mode information, white balance control amount calculating means calculates a control amount based on the extracted video signal of the particular color, the white balance correcting means corrects the white balance of the video signal according to this control amount, and then the color correcting means corrects the particular color signal in the video signal based on color correction parameter values set in advance. Subsequently, low chroma color suppression processing means corrects the gain amount of the video signal corresponding to the predetermined area centered at the origin in the color difference plane, from among the video signal corrected by the color correcting means, thereby correcting the particular color in the video signal and also correcting white balance deviated due to the correction of the particular color.

  • Patent number: 7224396
Abstract: The present invention concerns a digital still camera (1). This camera carries out a framing process by using an infrared pick-up image and a visible light photographing by using a flash or a low speed shutter in a still image pick-up process. Upon automatic focusing, the light of an auxiliary visible light source (23) for automatic focusing is emitted to apply the visible lights and carry out an automatic focusing process. In the digital still camera, the framing process can be carried out which allows the image of a subject which is to be picked up to be displayed on a finder even under an environment of low illuminance such as photographing a dark place and a user to recognize the contents of the photographed image. Further, after that, even when the visible light photographing is carried out through the irradiation of flash or the low speed shutter, an accurate focusing can be realized.
