  • Publication number: 20060022359
Abstract: An automatic choke system includes: a wax-type temperature sensing section; and an output section which opens a choke valve of a carburetor in response to heat receiving operation of the temperature sensing section. Temperature sensing section includes: a bottomed cylindrical housing attached to an engine with its bottom portion directed to a high-temperature portion of the engine; a bottomed movable cylinder; a stationary piston slidably supported by the movable cylinder and having one end protruding out of the movable cylinder; and a wax contained in the movable cylinder in a sealed manner, and causing the movable cylinder and the stationary piston to move relative to each other in an axial direction. The movable cylinder is slidably housed in the housing in a state in which an outer end of the stationary piston abuts against an inner surface of the bottom portion of the housing. The output section is connected to the movable cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20060016741
Abstract: In a fuel tank system, a strainer chamber with a suction bore opened into its upper surface is provided in a collecting recess for collecting a residual fuel containing impure foreign substances such as dust and water, the collecting recess being provided in a bottom wall of a fuel tank. A fuel discharge pipe is connected to the strainer chamber. Fuel flow passages are provided outside the strainer chamber. Baffle plates are provided in front and in the rear of and outside the strainer chamber to guide the fuel flowing into the collecting recess during tilting of the fuel tank into the fuel flow passages. Thus, the impure foreign substances are prevented from entering the strainer chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050284141
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying apparatus is provided for a motorcycle, configured to minimize engine output characteristics, and to raise the temperature of a catalyst to an activation temperature rapidly after a start of the engine, while not increasing a vehicle body size. The motorcycle includes an engine in which a cylinder block is extended upward on a crankcase. An exhaust port is provided on a front portion of the engine; an exhaust pipe extends forward of the engine from the exhaust port, then extends downward once, and thereafter, extends toward the rear of a vehicle body. A catalyst is placed in the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe passes along a side of the cylinder block, and the catalyst is placed in the exhaust pipe in a position located on the side of the cylinder block.

  • Publication number: 20050048326
Abstract: A lower magnetic layer magnetized and formed in a first direction and an upper magnetic layer magnetized and formed in a second direction opposite to the lower magnetic layer are laminated on a base. A ratio T1/T2 of a thickness T1 of the upper magnetic layer to a thickness T2 of the lower magnetic layer is located within a range of 0.6 to 0.9. Thus, in a herringbone type dual evaporated tape in which data is recorded and reproduced in a serpentine fashion, a vertical magnetization component is canceled to reduce the difference in the waveform distortion of a reproducing signal between a forward direction and a reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 6815608
Abstract: Sufficient dielectric strength needs to be ensured for the high voltage connection (13-11) of the high voltage electrical equipment such as a pattern generation system for focused ion beam processing and observation (1), without enlarging the equipment. The present invention seals an insulating liquid (13-113a) or gas (13-113b) in the space (13-113) between the connection bushing on the power supply side (13-111) and the flange on the power receiving side (13-112), and applies the water repellent treatment (13-111c) to a surface of the connection bushing or flange on the power receiving side, which the surface faces the space (13-113). Such a configuration provides compact electrical equipment with high dielectric strength, which can prevent the condensation or moisture absorption on the insulation surface in the space of the high voltage connection and can prevent the leakage current increase even under high humidity environment.
