The coloring transfer layer is placed on image receiving material after the image is formed.     Abstract: A photo print is produced from image data. A system controller classifies the photo prints on the basis of additional information of the image data under a classification condition recorded in a smart medium. The photo prints are discharged to sorting trays. The system controller allocates the respective sorting trays to each classification. When the photo print is discharged to the sorting tray, a sorter switches a conveyance route of the photo print in response to a classification signal sent from the system controller. The photo prints are distributed to the sorting trays every classification. Owing to this, the photo prints are prevented from being discharged in a mixed state.

    Abstract: There is disclosed an album type image display device. The image display device reads out album data, including image data and album manager data for arranging images in a style of an album, from a memory card and displays an electronic album page by page on the basis of the album data. When a second set of electronic images are read out from a second memory card while successive two pages of the electronic album are displayed, additional pages having the second set of electronic images pasted thereon are interposed between the displayed two pages. Upon pressing an automatic play button, the image display device starts displaying respective pages of the electronic album turn by turn in a predetermined sequence. A respective page is displayed for a time that is determined based on a data volume of that page.

    Abstract: A reflection case is attached to respective LEDs of an exposure head. An inner wall of the reflection case is formed with a first low-reflection area (reflectance is 0.1), a high-reflection area (reflectance is 0.9), and a second low-reflection area (reflectance is 0.1). These reflection areas are formed in an optical-axis direction from a side of the LED. The reflection case is disposed such that a middle point between the LED and a photosensitive surface of an instant film is positioned within the high-reflection area. The light emitted from the LED is reflected on the inner wall of the reflection case to be applied to the photosensitive surface of the instant film without dispersion. Owing to this, the effective exposure head may be produced.

    Abstract: An electronic still camera with a printer includes a vibration detector and a system controller. The vibration detector detects vibration relative to a moving direction of an exposure head of the printer. When the vibration detector detects the vibration exceeding a prescribed level, the system controller interrupts a printing operation of the printer. After that, when the vibration detector detects the vibration falling below the prescribed level, the system controller resumes the printing operation. The exposure head is adapted to be moved, performing the printing operation one line by one line. Until the printing operation for one line is completed, the system controller suspends to interrupt the printing operation.

    Abstract: A carriage is reciprocated in a width direction of a recording paper. A thermal head, a density sensor and an ink-ribbon cassette are attached to the carriage. While the carriage is moved forward, heat-transfer recording of one line is performed with the thermal head. While the carriage is moved backward after recording the line, the density sensor measures a density of each pixel of the line. The measured density is compared with a predicted density obtained from image data. When a difference between them exceeds a prescribed value, it is judged that a blur and uneven density occur on an image. At this time, the carriage is moved forward again to perform repair recording. When one of heating elements of the thermal head is detected as a broken element, recording is continued with the other normal heating elements.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a method and an apparatus of printing an image in a rectangular recording area on a recording material by a printing head as the recording material is advanced in a sub scan direction perpendicular to a main scan direction of the printing head. On side edge of the advancing recording medium is detected at two points to determine positions in the main scan direction of the two side edge points. Based on the positions of the side edge points, an inclination of the recording medium to the sub scan direction as well as positions of four corner points of the recording area in the main and sub scan direction relative to a center point of the main scanning range are determined.

    Abstract: A thermal printer has a conveyor roller set and three thermal heads along a feeding passage. In feeding a recording sheet, a pinch roller is deformed by pressing force of a capstan roller. In addition, platen rollers are also deformed by respective thermal heads. The feeding passage is bent to form V-shape at the feeding roller set and respective thermal heads, so the recording sheet is prevented from waving. By bending the feeding passage, the recording sheet is prevented from waving, so deviation in feeding speed is decreased even when the load to the recording sheet is changed. Moreover, since all thermal heads press the recording sheet simultaneously and are retracted to decrease the pressing force gradually after thermal recording, it is possible to decrease deviation in the load to the recording sheet.

The flattening unit is heated to a temperature lower than the dye transfer temperature, and heats and presses the surface of the recording paper after printing to flatten the surface. Since there are fewer hard copies with characters being printed with black dye, the black dye transfer process period is used for the flattening process by a color image recording unit without providing a separate flattening unit.
