  • Publication number: 20020021150
Abstract: In a load drive circuit, a charge pump circuit inputs a battery voltage of a power line, and outputs a raising voltage proportional to the battery voltage. A low voltage detecting circuit detects a low voltage state in which a detecting voltage obtained by dividing the raising voltage is lower than a reference voltage. Thus, it is possible to indirectly detect a low voltage state in which the battery voltage is lower than a predetermined threshold value. When the low voltage state is detected, a drive circuit turns off a MOSFET. At this time, the battery voltage is temporarily varied, but the charge pump circuit has a filter action and a delay action, whereby temporary variation does not easily appear in the raising voltage (detecting voltage), and an error in operation of the MOSFET can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20010007249
Abstract: An air-fuel mixture generating device includes a main body equipped with a diaphragm-type fuel pump, a fuel injection valve attached to the main body, and a manual fuel pump attached to the main body for filling a fuel passageway with fuel when the diaphragm-type fuel pump is not operating. The manual fuel pump has an inlet port which communicates with the fuel passageway and a pressure-adjusting valve disposed at the inlet port of the manual fuel pump, thereby enabling it to act not only as an intake valve when the manual fuel pump is operated but also as a relief valve for allowing the fuel inside the fuel passageway to escape into a pump chamber of the manual fuel pump when the pressure of fuel inside the fuel passageway exceeds a predetermined pressure.

  • Patent number: 6181301
Abstract: A transparent electroluminescent display panel overlaps at least a part of a conventional instrument panel, and forms a combined display panel assembly. Overlapping front and back panel displays are selectively displayed. The front electroluminescent panel displays additional information such as navigation maps, and is turned off when such additional information is not required while the back panel is turned on. The present invention eliminates undesirable reflected images of the back panel vaguely shown on the front panel when the front panel is on and the back panel is off. A light attenuator, eliminates the reflected images. It decreases the intensity of light emitted from the front panel to the back panel, and is disposed between the back and the front panels or built into the electroluminescent panel, so that the reflected images are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5424874
Abstract: A lighting device for a vehicle includes a mechanism for preliminarily fitting a lens to an extension before it is firmly fitted to a housing of the lighting device. To assure that a lens fitting operation is easily achieved at a reduced cost, a fitting hole is formed through an auxiliary foot portion extending from a housing fitting foot portion of the lens. A boss in the form of a tapered pin-shaped projection extends from the extension at the position corresponding to that of the fitting hole. In addition, a flange portion is formed at the upper end of the extension. The lens fitting operation is performed by inserting the boss into the fitting hole while the flange portion is placed on the upper surface of one of the side walls defining a lens receiving groove formed at the upper end of the housing of the lighting device.
